This delightful loft apartment is situated in the grounds of the owners’ home in an idyllic setting on the Mendip Hills. Warm and cosy via solar panels and eco heating makes it ideal for an eco-friendly holiday.

This apartment is conveniently located off the B3134 providing easy access to fantastic walks, fishing, horse riding and sailing on the nearby lakes. A short walk down the drive is a nature reserve set in an AONB and a renowned area for potholing and caving. Within a short drive are the cities of Wells 6 miles, Bath 18 miles and Bristol 16 miles. Your visit to Wells England's smallest city must include a trip to the city's beautiful cathedral with gardens and moat and the Bishop's Palace garden next door. Markets are held in Wells on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings and the city also boasts a range of shops, pubs, cafes and supermarkets. Within a short drive is Cheddar famous for its Gorge, quaint shops and cafes. National Trust properties and Longleat Safari Park are a short drive from the property.

This delightful apartment is set in an elevated position within the grounds of the owner’s home and has been refurbished throughout. The entrance to the apartment is via a wrought iron external staircase, leading into the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area features a wood burner which is perfect for those cooler evenings, there is also a TV/DVD, so you can relax in front of your favourite programmes and films. The apartment also boasts a dining area should you decide to eat in. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice box. There are two bedrooms which lead off from the lounge/kitchen/diner both have king-size beds and have French doors opening onto the balcony with rural views. The bathroom boasts underfloor heating and has a shower over the bath and WC.

Venturing outside you are welcome to explore the gardens where there is plenty of space for children to play. You can also enjoy your private balcony with seating with your morning coffee, or a glass of wine in the warm summer evenings. Allocated off-road parking for two cars can be found at the front of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Quirky cottage next to a busy road. However the footpath network is excellent for day rambles. Comfortable beds. Access via an external metal staircase could be difficult for those with mobility issues. Hosts very helpful and welcoming. Good amount of hot water,

The cottage is in a great location, with easy access to beautiful Wells and Cheddar Gorge. It's also close to the coast. It's nicely furnished and has comfortable beds. The balcony was lovely for chilling or eating meals and there's access to the owners' large garden.

The property was perfect in every way. Spotlessly clean, furnished well, plenty of extra loo rolls, sheets, cleaning products, tea, coffee, sugar, etc, board games, dvd's. The perfect base for exploring.
