Guests immediately feel at home in this barn conversion bursting with rustic charm and set in a most peaceful and beautiful river valley. The farm is a wonderful central location for visiting all of Cornwall and Devon, within very easy reach of all the beaches and rugged cliffs of the North Cornwall Coast and equally close to the wild moorlands of both counties. Many all-year-round attractions are within easy travelling distance, including The Eden Project, Plymouth Aquarium, and King Arthur's Castle at Tintagel.

Alongside the farm’s own cattle and sheep, a wildlife hide has been built overlooking the River Ottery for quiet viewing, and webcams are set up to capture the wildlife around the farm, which can be viewed on the cottage TV. There is lots to do on the farm: acres of lush Cornish countryside to explore, plus 2 miles of riverside walks. Try river fishing (both fly and coarse. Enjoy the heated outdoor swimming pool (May - end September) or Classic British Motorcycle Collection and Experience an Ariel, BSA or Triumph (please contact owners for details). Meet the farm animals, there may be calves and lambs to feed or eggs to collect, depending on the time of year.

Stepping inside you will find yourself in the open-plan living space, surrounded by unique features such as a minstrels gallery, stained glass windows, old farm wagon wheel light and the original farm hay pole for decoration. This space offers a huge antique farmhouse dining table that’s perfect for family get-togethers, and the lounge area incorporates a wood effect gas fire and a Smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob and Rayburn, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine - there is also a shared laundry room available on site. From here, two sets of patio doors open onto a sunny and secluded walled patio garden with seating and BBQ. Also on the ground floor you will find the twin bedroom with en-suite shower room. Heading upstairs, the charm continues. There are two king-size bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, 1 bunk bedroom and a family bathroom. We stayed at the HAYPOLE and it was ideal. Very warm and cosy with an open plan kitchen , diner and lounge. The heated pool onsite was a real bonus as the kids used it in the morning and in the evening after visiting the beaches which are only 26 mins away. Beds were very comfortable and all bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms. For what you get it is veRead morery well priced and i would highly recommend it to all . Hide

We all loved our stay at Haypole Barn, it fully matched the photos with a beautiful peaceful view from the terrace and little, and sometimes large bits of interest in the rooms. On days out our 4 year old granddaughter couldn't wait to get back to the swimming pool and garden with its sandpit and play area. The owners were very hospitable and frienRead moredly, even the cat was friendly. Hide

Had a really lovely stay, we had the pool to ourselves all week so fell really lucky. Hosts were lovely and were there if you needed them which we didnt. The pizza night was a fabulous touch, grandchildren really loved making their own pizzas and seeing them being cooked. A very relaxing week. Nothing bad to say.
