From is charming property you’ll be within easy reach of the North Devon coastline with its popular sandy beaches and sheltered coves. Woolacombe offers a long sandy expanse perfect for surfers and bucket and spade days. The Victorian fishing town of Ilfracombe offers a range of activities for visitors including finishing trips, day trips to Lundy, theatre, marine aquarium, shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries. Nearby Barnstaple also has plenty to offer such as leisure facilities and a cinema. Other attractions include National Trust’s Arlington Court, Broomhill Arts and Sculpture Gardens, Marwood Hill Gardens, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Watermouth Castle. You can also walk from the property to the nearby pub for a bite to eat.

Step through the front door into a beautiful and welcoming 20’ oak floored grand entrance hallway, which is packed with original charm. Much of this comes from the original farm shafting used to drive equipment that was formerly pulled by the horses in the roundhouse. From here walk straight through into the traditional oak farmhouse-style kitchen/diner with Belfast sink, luxury electric range style cooker, integrated fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a dining room table with seating for eight people. The large lounge offers plenty of charm with vaulted beamed ceilings and spectacular countryside views through the floor to ceiling, windows and doors. The lounge is equipped with an oil-fired effect wood burner set into a large stone fireplace, and TV/DVD. There is also a super-king size room on the ground floor, which features a zip-and-link double that can be made up as a twin on request. This floor also has a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower and WC. From the entrance hall, there are two staircases heading up to the rest of the bedrooms. From the first wooden open tread staircase, you’ll find the delightful king-size bedroom with en-suite shower and bathroom with WC and the second open tread staircase you will find a twin bedroom with en-suite shower and WC. All three bedrooms are appointed with their own TVs for extra luxury.

Step outside and you’ll be surrounded by beautiful countryside views in every direction. You’ll have use of the garden with a patio and seating and a charcoal BBQ. During your stay, make sure you take a stroll through the woodland and bluebell walk.

This home is an absolute gem. Loads of space, everything is comfortable. The beds were perfect, firm but soft. We slept like dead things. Showers were lovely and the sofas were comfortable too. The garden and surrounding fields were all at our disposal (avoiding the crops of course). We walked around the farm and the forest and said hello to the shRead moreeep. The house is 10 mins drive from both Ilfracombe and Barnstaple. A good spot to stay. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Charmaine :) x Hide
