The village of Hartland is only three miles away, where as well as the shops, Post Office and pubs, Hartland Quay is home to its museum and a history of shipwrecks, dwindling remains of which can be found on the beaches at Hartland Point. The area is teeming with places of interest; others include Clovelly, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way and the sandy beaches across the border in Cornwall. Docton Mill, famous for its ice cream can be found adjacent to the property.

The beautiful, extremely well-equipped property offers somewhere for a family or big group to base themselves during a holiday in Devon. Packed with lots of little details and plenty of facilities and activities, it has everything guests could possibly need. On the ground floor you will find the well-appointed kitchen with striking gas Aga taking centre stage. This is used for cooking and hot water but during the summer months will be switched off and hot water will be available via the immersion heater. The kitchen also offers an electric oven with halogen hob, microwave, American style fridge/freezer and all the useful extras you would expect. There is also a separate utility room with a Miele washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher – a useful spot for storing walking boots and wellies. The lounge is a large galleried room reached via a few steps from a smaller lounge with woodburner and a large selection of books. There is a stairgate at the top of the steps in case you are bringing small children. The main lounge has a woodburner, TV/DVD, hi-fi, seating and a raised area ideal for relaxing amongst the cushions. The dining room also has an open fire and is complete with a dining room table seating up to 10 people and another selection of books. One of the five bedrooms can be found on the ground floor and offers a double with en-suite shower room with WC. Upstairs there is a further king- with access to a twin room via open-tread stairs with 2’6” beds and a low sloping ceiling. The upstairs also offers a further twin and one bunk bedroom with a TV/ DVD with Sky Q – ideal for the children. There is a large bathroom with shower over bath, separate shower and WC, which is reached from the light and airy landing. Each room in the house has been finished with unique décor and lots of character. The adjoining garage has been transformed into a games room complete with a full size table tennis, table football and dart board. A further small room is perfect for youngsters to escape to and has a fridge, hi-fi and sofa. The outside of this property a real treat for visitors.

There is a decked area with garden furniture where you can relax in the sunshine but head off into the woods and you’ll find all kinds of delights. The garden is a mix of paths, bridges, lawns, woodland and a charming log seating area around a camp fire (weather permitting). The grounds lead down to an unfenced stream (you will need to beware with children) where wild brown trout can be caught. The location and grounds are amazing and very peaceful, the house is well equipped, comfortable and large enough to accommodate two families. There is no mobile signal so great if you dont want to be disturbed but has a house phone and WiFi. We would highly recommend this property

We all had a wonderful time at Wooda.the garden is amazing so much character with secret paths leading to secluded seating areas. It's very comfortable and we felt at home straight away. It's close to many toddler attractions and lovely sandy beaches. I would definatly like to return one day.

Great place to stay. Our two 6yr olds (one a human and one a whippet) loved playing in the amazing 3 acre garden and doing pooh sticks in the stream. We had a group of 7 people and all of us had a brilliant holiday. We hope to return one day.
