A spacious apartment in a peaceful area, perfectly placed to explore South Cornwall with beautiful beaches within a few miles, and Plymouth and Looe just a short drive away.

Situated just outside the rural village of Polbathic, it is ideally placed for anyone wanting to discover more of the Cornish Coast or South Devon, with many beaches such as Whitsand Bay, Seaton and Downderry close by, for days of relaxation or sporty exhilaration, whichever takes your fancy. Close by are beautiful walks directly from your front door, or for the more energetic amongst you why not try the nearby attractions such as The Adrenaline Quarry or hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail. The coastal town of Looe is easily reached by car and is known for its quaint eateries, restaurants and shops. East of the property is Plymouth with its huge array of shops, restaurants, leisure facilities and national theatre. This really is an ideal base for the whole family. Although this is situated in the grounds of the owners home privacy is very much assured.

Accessed via external steps, the property sits sheltered by trees and foliage. The lounge/kitchen/diner is open plan, with oak flooring throughout; the lounge area features a large leather reclining sofa, armchair, and TV/DVD, and has an oak dining table large enough to seat six people in an alcove. The kitchen has been lovingly fitted, and comprises of an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. This apartment features two bedrooms; the master bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite WC, whilst the second bedroom has twin zip-and-link beds, which can be made into a king-size on request at the time of booking. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, there is a private garden area for guests, with a picnic table and BBQ.. There is ample parking on the shared driveway. In the shared utility area you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Nicely appointed cottage, with very well equipped kitchen, good sized bedrooms, lovely shower and bath. Spotlessly clean on arrival. Couldn't really fault it

We had a great time at Ty Hanner. Beautiful location, lovely clean apartment with stunning view from the window. Host Mr and Mrs Thomas are friendly and very helpful.

Lovely clean flat accessed up steps from the garden/parking area. There are stunning views from the windows across the Lynher valley which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the settee. The sea is nearby, as are many pleasant walks that are worth exploring. The kitchen is very well equipped and the arrival pack of scones, clotted cream and jam was Read morelovely. Hide

Absolutely stunning location, be aware its a very tiny lane, but not busy. Very clean and had everything you can think of to make it so homely, despite covid. Lovely welcome basket with treats included for the dog. Such a lovely thought! Have visited places we never seen before as usually go further south, but would definitely book again.

Nice property, friendly and helpful hosts. Good location. Lovely hamper on arrival. Comfortable beds and lovely towels. Photo of garden misleading as not accessible from the rear of the property.only by front steps, then part way down drive, little steps to side of property. Therefore not suitable for morning cup of tea or bbq. Sadly let down by poRead moreor standard of cleaning. Windows and outside frames not cleaned for some time. Microwave controls dirty. The cottage was in lovely condition, we were welcomed by David & Clare , who are lovely people. They were very helpful and friendly and even in adversity with David becoming ill during our stay, Clare was nothing but polite and caring. The cottage is handily placed to use it as a base whilst exploring the surrounding area and is just off a main roaRead mored and easily found when entering via the Polbathic end of the entrance (rather than using the first turn off from the main road). We would definitely recommend Ty Hanner to others. A lovely house with fantastic views and in an ideal location to explore Cornwall and Devon. The owners Clare and David were very welcoming and friendly. We hope to visit again.

The cottage is in an excellent location, very quiet but with a local pub nearby. Beaches and tourist spots are within easy driving distance. The hamper we received on our arrival was a very nice touch. The owners are easy to contact and extremely happy to help. There are steep steps up to the cottage which some might find difficult to access. A litRead moretle slippery in the wet. Hide

Fantastic apartment. Situated perfectly within only a few miles of attractions and amenities. Claire and David were fantastic providing a little hamper for our arrival with home made items. These were a wonderful addition.
