This beautifully finished contemporary lodge is situated on the edge of a secluded and quiet beach. Perfect for a tranquil retreat with a decked area overlooking the picturesque beach.

This beautifully finished lodge is situated on the edge of a secluded and quiet beach just 10 miles north of the coastal town of Campbeltown.  Situated on the peninsula of Kintyre, it is an ideal base for exploring the many attractions of southern Kintyre with easy access to the scenic Isle of Arran, Islay and Jura. Once proclaimed ‘the whisky capital of the world’ with 34 distilleries, today only three active distilleries remain in the town; Glen Scotia, Glengyle and Springbank. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the last one and find out the secrets of whisky making.  The lovely harbour town of Tarbert is a short drive away with some nice shops and cafe's, you can take the boat across to Portavadie from here or discover shell beach!  The Sea Life Adventure Centre in Oban is also a great day out for the family and there are lots of beautiful deserted beaches to explore in the local area.

Entering the lodge up a few steps you will enter the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD and electric effect fire.  The views out towards the sea are breath-taking whatever the weather and there is direct access out onto the decking to sit out and watch the sunset.  The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave with dining table to enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting out to explore.  Back through the hallway you will find a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over and WC.

There is a spacious decked area with furniture to relax and enjoy truly tranquil surroundings and private parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The Chalet was set in a beautiful location overlooking the Islands of Gigha and Jura. It was very private and secluded but was the perfect location for a relaxing getaway.

My sister, I and our little terrier had a wonderful time in this remote cottage on the beach - the Atlantic Ocean at your door means it can be windy but very refreshing if you are rugged up. We went out daily and travelled to the villages to try the food and see the beautiful scenery and castles. Skipness Castle and its Seafood Cafe with Oysters anRead mored Salmon cooked 5 ways, and a glass of white wine - what more to ask for. The Mull of Kintyre, Tarbert and the Argyle Hotel - long beach walks. Lovely Hide
