The cottage is particularly well suited for touring around South Somerset North Dorset East Devon. Lovely places of interest to visit and a way of life disappearing for so many people cottage was warm and comfortable with a garden for sitting out in and visiting birds to watch! Owner was active in ensuring we were having a good time.

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. However the details of how to find the cottage need updating and details of nearby pub and shop also need clarifation. The pub is closed and the shop not within easy walking distance. States parking for 2 cars but this was difficult as neighbours had several vehicles each and not much spare room.

Its no fault of the cottage but the location is not great for walking to pubs or shops. However, there are lots of options within driving range and its in a great location for exploring Dorset, Somerset and East Devon.

Very comfortable and close to several towns, beaches etc. The owner was very friendly being only two doors away if needed

Had a great time at Rose Cottage. Nice cosy retreat. Easy access to the coastal towns like Lyme Regis, Seaton etc. Cottage had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Lots of walks nearby. The garden was great to chill out in. Our daughter enjoyed feeding the chickens in the nearby field. Would definitely consider a return visit.

Cottage was lovely and very comfortable. Freebies were also a lovely surprise! The location, while a bit sparse, is well placed for exploring in the car. The only issue of any real note was the kitchen taps. They were difficult to turn on and off, and I think some people could really struggle. This was a minor issue for us though, and I'm looking fRead moreorward to visiting again. Hide

The cottage is in a lovely setting well away from traffic and the real world. Very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked four main dinners with no problems. The living space is ample, the bedrooms were comfortable, but the bed a bit too soft for our liking. The garden is lovely to sit in getting sun for most of the day. Rose Cottage is lovely! Really well equipped ( none of this 4 plates, 4 cups, 4 glasses business - there were loads of everything), spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Perfect situation for exploring the beautiful countryside and the Dorset coast. Definitely recommended.
