The central location of this property makes it perfect for visiting both coastlines including pretty Watchet and Blue Anchor Bay to the North and to the popular seaside towns of Seaton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth to the South. Taunton is within a few miles and offers an extensive shopping mix, restaurants and leisure facilities, the historic towns of Glastonbury and Wells are both within a 30 minute drive and the stunning cathedral city of Exeter is under an hour away by car. Other attractions within easy reach include Exmoor National Park, Clarks Village, The Quantock Hills, West Somerset Steam Railway and a selection of National Trust properties and gardens.

Enter this delightfully furnished property to find a charming lounge/diner with a TV/DVD with iPod dock, stereo and even an antique record player. There are a few vinyl records provided but feel free to bring your own too. A woodburner effect electric fire keeps you warm on cooler evenings and a beautiful view stretches out across the owners’ garden and towards the fields beyond. In the kitchen you will find an electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The pretty double bedroom is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable night sleep and there is a bathroom with a roll-top bath with electric shower over it and WC.

Outside of the property guests can benefit from a lovely enclosed cottage garden, accessed via three steps. Here you will find a pretty summer house with seating and a patio area with garden furniture. The owner lives next door but privacy is assured and there is separate access to the public footpath that leads into the village of North Curry.

A home away from home. A lovely cottage with everything you need for a relaxed stay including puzzles, cds, wifi and tv. We did some circular walks from the cottage around the countryside visiting local sights including Burrow Mump. The garden is safe and secure and we loved being able to drive in, close the gate and then let the dog run round and Read moresniff. We are so glad we chose Westfield Cottage for a break. Everything in working order and the house was nice and warm to return to after a winter walk. The cottage was comfortable, there were fresh eggs, milk, orange juice, shortbread biscuits and olives waiting for me. There was a dog basket and bowl ready for my four legged friend. This is one of the best places we've stayed. A large, pretty garden that was fully enclosed and private - ideal for our German Shepherd. There were footpaths going in all directions from the door, some leading to arable land where we could let him run safely off lead. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and beautiful. After staying in a very disappointing holiday cottage in Lincolnshire last year, Westfield Cottage was the total opposite. A beautiful cottage, set in peaceful surroundings. The owner, Peter, met us on arrival and was very helpful but never intrusive. An excellent place to relax and recharge your batteries, but plenty of things to see and do if you wish. My boxer dog loved it here and spent a lot of time lazing on the sun terrace, listening to the birds.

Beautiful cottage, spacious with a homely feel, very well equipped and very comfortable. We were just disappointed that we weren't staying for an extra week! We had a lovely stay, the weather was gorgeous all week. The interior of the cottage is very old fashioned which was quite quaint but the sofa was extremely uncomfortable. Super walks from the door. We didn't feel able to allow our Lurcher off lead in the garden even though it was secure, there was only a 5ft fence between our cottage and the ownerRead mores cottage which our Lurcher would have been able to jump over if she had a mind too, it wasn't worth the risk. We are are in our seventies and had to lift the huge wooden gates to open them into the garden . The middle step from the garden to the patio is a bit of a drop for any one with a disability . Your luggage has to be carried the length of the garden and down the side of the cottage . Beautiful safe gardens. Well equipped kitchen. Owner said was mothers annex and definitely holds her old bed/ furniture/ornaments ect. Ok if you like clutter, we dont. A well equipped cottage in a stunning setting. The garden is beautiful and perfect for dogs, lots of walks out from the cottage. Peter is an excellent host and provides a very generous welcome pack. This is our 3rd visit, once again we had a great break.
