Lovely cottage in stunning location. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed drinks and meals outside in the courtyard right beside the cottage in the evenings. It is located at the end of a row of cottages and very close to the leisure centre, which can mean cars coming and going from early morning, but we didn't mind and it didn't seem to bother/wake Read moreour teenage sons. There was plenty of room in the cottage. Lots of tea and coffee supplied, including for the coffee machine. The cottage was right next to the Leisure Centre so great for going to the pool. The bins were emptied regularly as well. The staff were very friendly. The cottage is in a great location for going visiting the many interesting sites and for wRead morealking. Hide

Well equipped, comfortable cottage with beautiful surroundings. Pub with large outdoor beer garden opposite was a bonus (although it was very noisy all day and night with constant banging music) This is open to any member of the public who turned up in droves to enjoy the facilities. The use of the hotel pool was great, and the flat is conveniently placed for exploring Hadrians Wall country.

This was a clean, well appointed cottage. We loved the pool and even though we came in storm Dennis, we still had a great time. The food and roaring fire in the hotel was a welcome relief, as was the jacazzui. Would definitely recommend.

The cottages are ideal for a relaxed holidays day either for two people or families who want more space and eating options than in the hotel. The bar and Prego restaurant give you that hotel experience. There should be more hotels giving these options.
