Brightlingsea has a lovely sandy beach and a ferry service taking you over to nearby Mersea Island. Other local attractions include Dedham and the Constable country villages and Colchester with its impressive castle and bustling high street. For those wanting more excitement, head to the seaside town of Clacton, which offers a host of family fun activities, or why not try a Thames boat excursion sailing through Tower Bridge from the pier.

On the guests arrival the apartment is accessed via a secure communal hallway, the apartment is on the ground floor, the hallway leads through to a spectacular open plan Lounge/kitchen/diner with harbour side views, the well equipped kitchen provides an excellent space for preparing meals having a double electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine with dryer, dishwasher and microwave, the lounge area comfortable seating with panoramic views, a large TV, DVD and Sky TV, dining table and chairs. The property is lovely- the views over the harbour are to die for. Better to go when there isnt a storm crossing the country however! Although this took nothing away from the property...top notch stuff! Thank you very much to the owners.

Fantastic apartment with spectacular views. Well equipped throughout as the owner has thought of everything. Efficient kitchen appliances, comfortable beds, super balcony, allocated safe parking and very thoughtful gifts. Plenty of eating places within walking distance and several shops. Even a wool shop which came in very handy!

This is a superb holiday let with a great outlook onto the harbour and view to Mersea island. I loved watching the sailing each morning and the kids loved crabbing off the balcony. The kitchen was very well equipped and the apartment had everything and more to make for a wonderful stay.
