Unfortunately what at first appeared to be a fairly nice cottage, turned out to be run down, extremely damp and quite dirty. I thought we could cope but as the week went on my asthma became really bad and after moving furniture when leaving we discovered a severe damp problem in both bedrooms with black mould on the walls. Thoroughly recommend Rowan cottage. It is in a beautiful, quiet setting with tremendous views across the valley. It is comfortably appointed, clean and has all the necessities there. The owners are close by and very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
