A really interesting and characterful property with lovely views and amazing gardens, which our daughters absolutely loved. It was lovely to sit in the conservatory in the evenings and watch the sunrise. The location was just off the main road between Oban and Fort William with lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. A very quiet location on the edge of a village without a shop. Convenient for all the coastal Lochaber hills including Glencoe, and Ardgour accessible. Property plenty big enough for our party of 6. The conservatory is a delightful light space at all times of day and is key . Property feels like you are using someone's house while they are away forRead more a while. There are many ornaments, books, nicknacks etc. They tell you quite a bit about the character and interests of the owner's family. Hide

We made the most of our holiday inspite of the cottage being quite old fashioned and musty. Young children may be fearful of all the stuffed animals and bones lying around the place. Bear in mind you will need to drive everywhere and the nearest restaurant is over 5 miles away.

Remote location. Ideal for walking, fishing etc. Fantastic views with plenty of wild life. We had a visit from a Roe Deer in the garden one night. Shame we were there when it was raining. We will be back in the future.

Achara Lodge is lovely, with plenty of sleep space and bathrooms. Its a short drive to Fort William or Oban, and just minutes from Glencoe. The three-season room is well lit for reading and is comfortable for group sitting. Negatives ...there are no basics like sugar, salt, pepper, foils & wraps, so you have to buy all this; the main heat sources aRead morere on timers so you cant control them (not good for early risers), although there are space heaters you can use in the main living areas.
