With the towns of Oban and Fort William both nearby, this picturesque area boasts an abundant variety of activities for all the family, including walking, mountain biking, fishing, sailing and winter sports. There are well marked cycle paths and some lovely deserted beaches to enjoy a walk along.  The Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary is within easy reach, providing a great day out.  You could enjoy a boat trip from Oban to the spectacular islands of Mull, Staffa and Iona or take a trip on the West Highland Jacobite Steam Railway from Fort William to Mallaig, which crosses the viaduct made famous in the Harry Potter films. The area is a walkers paradise with Ben Nevis also within easy reach.

On entering this attractive self-contained ground-floor apartment, you will find yourself in the charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The spacious and comfy lounge is delightfully furnished and features a double sofa bed, TV, DVD and Hi-Fi. There’s a stylish and traditional dining area, and you will find that the elegantly designed kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with small ice compartment and washer/dryer. Exploring this warm and comfortable property further you will find a cosy bedroom with a zip-and-link super-king bed (which can be made up as twin beds on request). There is also a bathroom, complete with shower over the bath and WC.

Stepping outside, you can relax and sit back in the beautiful garden which is furnished with table and chairs. The garden and extensive grounds are shared with the other two properties on-site, and offer beautiful relaxing scenery.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The property is well positioned for exploring a wide area between Oban and Fort William and further west. The apartment was warm and comfortable - well presented for two people and a dog.

This cottage is in an exceptional area of natural beauty and gives easy access to various well-known visitor destinations. The flat is on the ground floor so perfect for a dog. The grounds of the cottage are perfect for morning dog-walking. There are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby but you generally need to book in the holiday season. The cottage is in a lovely location and in very attractive grounds , and Port Appin is s real jewel just a short drive away for seafood lovers

Lovely comfortable cottage with good quality furnishings and equipment. Quiet spot with beautiful space at the back, open fields. Good local places to visit, ie Port Appin, and easy to get to Oban and Fort William.

The property is set in beautiful grounds, with lovely views (especially at sunset). It is well-equipped and comfortable and we really didn't mind spending time on a wet afternoon just relaxing in the quiet and comfortable environment. You do need to drive to any walks or attractions - it's about 7 miles from Glencoe and 20 from Fort William, Ben NeRead morevis etc., but the roads are so beautiful that this was not a problem. Easy to reach Mull and Iona as well, although that needs a full day out. Hide

Actually several apartments in an extended house. The one we stayed in was comfortable and quite well equipped. Theres a pleasant view out the back over a field with a stream running through it, a line of trees, and some mountains in the background on the other side of the loch. Had a couple of stags in the garden one night and another night it wasRead more clear and dark enough to see the Milky Way. Oban, Fort William, and Glencoe are nearby. A very well-appointed cottage situated half-way between Oban and Fort William, near to the small village of Duror. Cottage has good facilities, including washer/dryer and Internet. Both towns are about 30-40 minute drive away, and both have a good selection of shops and supermarkets. A great location for exploring the western Highlands and islands.Read more Ferry from Oban to Mull well recommended, although it is a little expensive. Glencoe, Rannoch Moor and Ben Nevis are all within easy reach by car. Hide

Beautiful cottage apartment. Good location to use as your base for touring Argyll & Bute. Most comfortable, clean and well-fitted accommodation. Pleasantly situated in quiet, secluded grounds. Dogs absolutely loved it! Thanks so much for an enjoyable stay. Well certainly be back!
