Situated right in the heart of pretty and historic Appledore, this lovely cottage is the perfect base for a romantic weekend away and exploring North Devon.

This lovely little cottage, which is just a stone’s throw from the harbour and waterfront also has one allocated parking space next to the property, which is almost unheard of in Appledore! At low tide, the sandy beach is just down the road, as well as the boat slip and rock pools for crabbing. Nearby there are plenty of attractions to keep you busy, from lovely Clovelly to Westward Ho! and Woolacombe Bay. The Milky Way, The Big Sheep and RHS Rosemoor Gardens are also close by.

Sailmakers Cottage is split over two levels and, like all traditional fishing cottages, has low ceilings and doorways. Entering the property stepping up into the kitchen, if you would prefer to cook at home than go out for dinner, the kitchen has a gas hob electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The open-plan lounge/diner has comfortable sofas and a TV/DVD with iPod dock; the dining area is separated by a split level. Heading upstairs, you will find the first of the two bedrooms on your left, a double with en-suite shower and WC. Just along the hallway you will find the spacious master double with en-suite bathroom with whirlpool bath and shower over with WC. This is a Jack and Jill bathroom that can also be accessed from the hallway. Both bedrooms are well furnished with the addition of a dressing table.

Outside the property is private parking for one car and shared courtyard access to the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Great recommendation from Lisa Bengy at North Devon Gazette. Ideal location for sight seeing and exploring the local area. Good local places to eat including some excellent fish and chips. A comfy character cottage, well equipped and ideal for either a short or long break

Perfect location. Great dog walking area. Good pubs, cafes and shops all within walking distance. Cottage very comfortable - stayed over Christmas and equipment and facilities served us well. Christmas tree and decorations made cottage extra cosy.

An excellent cottage (with an adjacent parking space) well located in easy reach of the varied facilities of the lovely and interesting village of Appledore. We went out of season so noise from the pub next door was minimal.

It is right next door to a very small pub which didnt bother us as walls of cottage very thick. A great place with plenty to see and some good walks.

Lovely cottage, clean & all the equipment you will need for your stay. Fantastic little pub next door that has live music 4 times a week so you have to be aware of a bit of noise but it doesnt go on late into the night, about 11-30ish. But why not go next door and enjoy the music as the pub is really friendly & the atmosphere is cracking. Sailmakers cottage is a beautiful property in a great location in Appledore. It had parking for 1 vehicle which was great and unusual to find. It is next door to a friendly pub which did not bother us at all. The property was nicely furnished with lovely decor. The door entrances are low so duck or grouse!!
