The property is equipped and furnished to the highest standards. It is very spacious and comfortable and the addition of the little shop to make emergency purchases was very valuable indeed, given its fairly remote (but beautiful) setting. Hishope Cottage is the nicest cottage we have ever stayed in and we have had many many cottage breaks before. The hot tub and 4 poster bed was wonderful. We had awful weather all week but the lovely cottage facilities made up for it. The big safe garden was a joy for our dog Molly. Thankyou Jane!

One of the most enjoyable holidays in ages! The cottage was just superb, everything was there, so cosy, clean and welcoming. The little extras, flowers, milk and homebaked cakes on arrival. The hot tub was a welcome treat after a long day touring around the beautiful Co Durham. Could not recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful location. The hot tub was a big plus. We travelled each day to various places of interest which at most were only half an hours drive away. We would highly recommend the Lanchester Garden Centre (15 mins away) with its brilliant restaurant, and the Beamish Outdoor Museum, which was amazing and takes a good 4-5 hRead morers to get round (half an hour away). Newcastle Metro centre was also only half an hour away. Or you can just chill in the cottage and go for walks. Hide
