A lovely character cottage set in the heart of the Devon countryside, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, keen walkers and couples.

Situated in a wooded valley, next to the owner's farmhouse, Annas Cottage gives guest the perfect opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of country life. Guests who are keen walkers or cyclers are ideally positioned to join the Tarka Trail, a long distance path which offers wonderful scenery as well as welcome food stops and watering holes along the way. If you fancy an afternoon at the beach, sandy Westward Ho! is just a 25 minute drive away and both Dartmoor and Exmoor are within easy reach. Just down the road in Torrington, attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens, the excellent Plough Arts Centre for interesting movies, 1646 Visitor Attraction and Dartington Crystal. For those who fancy venturing a little further, pretty Clovelly is a seaside town with steep cobbled streets that lead down to a harbour and the sea. For water sports and fishing, Tamar Lakes and Kilkhampton are a short drive away.

This spacious cottage offers one king-size bedroom, with sloping ceilings and plenty of space for a travel cot. The property offers one bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The lounge/diner has exposed stonework, a woodburner with first basket of logs included TV/DVD, and a hi-fi. The well equipped kitchen has everything you could need to rustle up some tasty food and has a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, washer/dryer and microwave. There is also an inner hallway, which is perfect for muddy walking boots, wellies or a dog basket.

Outside there is a small enclosed garden with seating and a BBQ and there is ample enclosed parking along the lane, next to the outdoor kennels.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

What a lovely cottage. It was really home from home. From the moment we walked in we felt at home and thought the cream tea gesture was really sweet. Lovely cottage, not too difficult to find if you put the full address in. So close to a lovely walking spot. The secluded garden and the added extra of the field out the back was amazing. Really nice, spacious cottage, well equipped with dishwasher ,washing machine and log burner. Nice fully enclosed garden and use of a field to give the dogs a good run around. Quiet location, Good for exploring north Devon. Lovely extra touches with cream tea and daffodils in cottage on arrival.

The cottage was situated in a very peaceful and beautiful location, the views was stunning. It was very cozy and well maintained and equipped well. The exercise field at the back was a added bonus and my dogs loved to explore and run around in. Plenty of beaches and places to visit not to far away by car or you could walk the Tarka trail which was Read morenearby. Always nice to return to the cottage in the evening to relax by the log burner and watch TV. Hide

The cottage is well appointed and everything anyone could need is in there already. The enclosed garden perfect if you have a dog and it's somewhere to sit and read or eat.

The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully maintained. Perfect size for two adults and our two dogs loved it. The garden was perfectly safe and secure for the dogs and the field right next door for them was a lovely bonus that we didn't expect. Great location for various different beaches and places to visit. Would definitely revisit!

The cottage is well situated for touring the coastal towns and the villages and moors of Devon. Parking off the road and next to the property with a large enclosed paddock making it great for our dog to run off her energy. For other dog lovers we can recommend Saunton Sands and the beach at the northern end of Westward Ho! because a number of beachRead morees do not allow dogs but these 2 areas more than compensate. After a motorway trek the Devon cream scones were a lovely touch on our arrival. Hide

Great accommodation clean tidy and a great field for dogs - good location, just up the road from the Tarka Trail so good walking. Fantastic location and central. Would definitely book again. And the cream tea on arrival was most welcome as we had been stuck in traffic for a while.

Tranquil cottage tucked away in a valley, next to a stream. The Tarka Trail is 400m with good bike riding south to Meeth (impacted grit) and north to Bideford (on tarmac). The owner was very friendly, lives next door and greeted us with a cream tea. Warm with good furniture, newly decorated bedroom. For clarification its FreeSat not Sky TV.
