A superb holiday location in rural North Devon, set in acres of unspoilt countryside, which hosts an abundance of wildlife such as badgers, foxes, rabbits and many types of birds. The five lakes lying within forty acres are stocked with carp, roach, rudd, tench, bream and perch, offering a fine sport for the angler. There is a wide choice of beaches nearby, including Bude, Westward Ho! and the sandy dunes of Instow. Just down the road is the unique fishing village of Clovelly, with its steep cobbled streets and quaint harbour. More local attractions are available such as The Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep, and Dartington Crystal.

Head up three steps or via the ramp onto the gated veranda of this single storey lakeside lodge and through the front door into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. What a super place. The lodge was warm and clean and the fishing was great when the weather allowed. Over the good days I caught circa 20 carp (mirror and common) between 6.5 and 8.5lb and lost a couple of bigger ones. Well situated with lots of places to visit and eat.

Great time had by all, a good stretch of the legs gets you to clovelly, water park next door, good fishing, central for croyde and bude. Very clean, dvd library, washers dryers etc and some great pubs a close drive away. Thanks for accommodating us short notice.

The lodge was clean, warm and very comfortable. Everything worked as it should and the level of equipment was spot on. We were unlucky in that the weather was dreadful during our stay, so we didn't make much use of the outside areas. The fishing was a little slow for my liking, but the weather reduced the opportunity to try different lakes.

The site is great for a holiday or getaway to explore north Devon and South Cornwall. The lodges are comfortable, clean and well equipped. The surrounding site is beautiful and has areas for dog walking in the woods. The lakes are beautiful and make for good fishing with no fighting over swims as there are plenty. All in all perfect !
