Howgill is a lovely cottage in a stunning location with both sunrises, if youre up intime ! And sunsets. Lots of wildlife, including a resident a red squirrel. The Black Swan in nearby Ravenstonedale is wonderful

A cottage in a quite remote area with marvellous views of the howgills , with plenty of peace and quiet away from the ever encroaching car

A lovely cottage in the countryside. Great base for exploring the dales and the lakes. Children loved seeing the cows and sheep from their bedroom window in the mornings and the amazing tree swing in the garden. Owners friendly.

From the moment we arrived and met the property owner George who made us welcome and told us everything about the cottage. We had a very pleasant stay and hope to return in the future.

Quiet location with a lovely garden, with a good variety of birds that came to feed. A car is a must if you want to visit the many places of interest.

This was a lovely cosy cottage located in a quiet area but very accessible. Handy for the Lakes and North Yorks Moors, we had days out to Ambleside and Penrith during our short break, and there are some really nice shops, pubs and cafes in nearby Kirkby Stephen
