This gorgeous detached property in Alnwick, Northumberland is perfect for exploring the Northumbrian countryside. Within walking distance to shops and Alnwick Castle, it sleeps five plus a pull-out bed.

Alnwick Fox Wood is in a quiet residential area, within walking distance of the historic town of Alnwick. This lovely Northumbrian town has all the shops, pubs and restaurants you could need. It's full of history, with the amazing Alnwick Castle and gardens just a short walk away, which is definitely worth a visit - it was even used during the filming of the Harry Potter series. It's close to the Northumberland coast and is therefore perfect for a day on the beach. This property is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful English countryside and visiting nearby villages and castles. It's close to the Simonside hills, in Northumberland's national park. With the seaside nearby, stunning rolling countryside and unique towns, this is the ideal basis from which to explore this border county.

This property features a large lounge/diner, with comfortable seating for the whole family, a large dining table and patio doors to the garden. The kitchen has everything you need, including an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, and a great island layout. There is also a handy WC on the ground floor, as well as a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a games room - perfect for keeping the kids entertained! There's a family bathroom with shower over a bath. All the rooms have a lovely neutral colour scheme, with thoughtful details perfect for making you feel at home, and gorgeous furnishings.

Outside there is off road parking available for two cars. There is a lovely enclosed garden, with a patio and BBQ, plus outdoor seating for dining in the sunshine. The large garden is perfect for all the family to enjoy spending time outside together.

Very clean welcoming house with great welcome pack. House on residential estate within easy (although bit up hill) walk into town, Alnwick Garden and Castle. To avoid steep road, out of house turn left and cross the road, take next right and there is a path that goes all the way to the main road. Great house.

The house was very well appointed, clean and spacious on a very quiet well kept estate. A very welcome hamper, much appreciated too. Alnwick is a good base to explore Northumberland. Would recommend this property.

Cannot recommend this house highly enough. A great location close to the A1 and Alnwick which is only a 10-15 minute walk. Really nice quite estate it is located on. It is nicely furnished and large enough for 4 to 5 people with all that you need for a pleasant stay. Only down side no shower in the main bathroom so all 4 of use had to use the en-suRead moreite one (that shower was great). If visiting the area would consider staying there again. Hide

The house was lovely, well equipped and very comfortable. Walking distance to the town, pubs restaurants, gardens and castle was approx 15mins. We found a footpath into town avoiding the walk up the hill, its called Fisher lane, turning left out of the property, across the road and take the path on the right just pass a childs playground. This property was located in a quiet peaceful location, just a short stroll to the Castle and Town Centre. Tastefully decorated it had everything we needed for a fantastic holiday. Lovely house, very comfortable. Convenient for Alnwick town and Castle especially the gardens just at top of road. Also not that far from the coast. The Welcome Pack was also greatly appreciated.
