Recently renovated property, offering accommodation for both families and couples in a rural location surrounded by rolling countryside for a truly relaxing break.

Located on the fringes of the Peak District in the outskirts of Penistone, the surrounding area is on the doorstep of the beautiful ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ Holmfirth countryside. The Trans Pennine Trail runs nearby and is perfect for cycling, walking and accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, more strenuous walkers can head out onto the open moorland for something more challenging. Nearby attractions and places to visit include Holmfirth, Chatsworth and Harewood House, and the popular villages of Bakewell and Buxton.

Step into the hallway which leads to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The dining table is ideal for a getting together and enjoying a meal after a day exploring and is located next to the patio doors leading to the outside seating area. The lounge area has sofas waiting to ease your aches and pains after a days walking, a wonderful spot in front of the wood burner, cosy up and watch the TV/DVD. There are three bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite shower and WC, and two further king-size bedrooms. There is also a separate bathroom, with bath, shower and WC.

Outside, there is a lawn area to the front of the property, and a large lawn to the rear including patio with seating and BBQ. There is ample off-road parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Brilliant place to stay! The bedrooms were all huge and the bathrooms have a really high quality finish. The living area/kitchen again was very spacious. Views across the fields were great. We took 2 cars but definitely could have fit more in. Kitchen was well equipped. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. Loved the outside BBQ area and gardRead moreen. Hide

The cottage was lovely, it was clean and comfortable for a party of 6. The location was good and the garden was just what we needed for 2 boys who played out most evenings.

Had a brilliant holiday at School Wells. Accommodation was very spacious for the five of us and Penistone is only a 5 minute drive away for the nearest shops. Plenty of places can be visited within a half an hour drive. Owners were very welcoming and they gave us lots of recommendations of places to visit and to eat out. Will definitely go back to Read moreexplore more places in the Peak District. Hide

I took my elderly parents and grandson of 18 months. We had not been together for 4 months after lock down. This was ideal for us as no steps once inside and the cottage is so cosy and warm. A lovely large kitchen table where we done most of our socialising talking and laughing playing games of cards. The owners Simon and his wife are so lovely. SiRead moremon even made us some homemade scones which were lovely. A lovely friendly couple and I know nothing would of been too much trouble if we needed them. Hide

A lovely contemporary cottage in an ideal location to explore the Peaks and surrounds. Accommodation was clean and suited our needs perfectly. As a family of 5 we found it spacious and well equipped. You will need a car to pop to the shops but it's worth it.
