Barn conversion property in a tranquil rural location, set within three acres of the owner’s land, and situated just outside the pretty village of Buckland Brewer.

Buckland Brewer is situated in deepest North Devon, surrounded by rolling green countryside, forests and woodlands village shop and welcoming pub. The area surrounding the property has much on offer to visitors, no matter what their tastes and interests, including the privately-owned village Clovelly, the traditional fishing village of Appledore, the attractive harbour town of Bideford, The Milky Way family adventure park, RHS Rosemoor, and the large sandy beach at Westward Ho! The bathroom has a shower-over-bath and WC. Upstairs, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has been unusually decorated in order to reflect the heritage of the building, and has a lovely light and spacious feel to it, thanks to the vaulted ceiling and the large windows which afford splendid views across the neighbouring fields. There is a wood burner in the lounge area, to keep the room lovely and cosy, no matter what the weather is like outside, as well as a TV/DVD. Behind the lounge area, the kitchen/diner is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine.

Outside, there is an enclosed patio garden with garden furniture, which gives guests a great place to sit out and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Additionally, guests have access to a field which has a children’s play area with a trampoline and climbing equipment. Guests should be aware that there is a pond at one end of the field, so children will need careful supervision.

What a lovely holiday. The beautiful cottage is in a very quiet setting and surrounded by farm land. The only noise are the hens and ducks which was fabulous. We had a brilliant week here. We were nervous travelling so close to the lockdown being eased but everything was in place to make sure we were safe. Anne and Richard were wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. The cottage and the grounds are intriguing and delightful - it was so peaceful and we were able to see so many stars at night. It was our first visit to North Devon, and we found so much to do within easy reach. It was the perfect place for our 6 yr old boy.

A country idyll. Stunning views, wonderful hosts and perfect facilities for families. No pollution, no noise, no traffic and the only reminder of a flight path was courtesy of the magnificent geese. If you love animals (here, there be chickens!), appreciate the charm of the country and need to escape the city hum drum...this is the place to be.
