This delightful cottage sits in one of Bideford’s oldest streets and offers glimpses of the River Torridge. A selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants are dotted throughout the town and the bustling quayside still offers a welcome resting place for ships and fishing boats. The arched bridge is illuminated at night and is the signature of this “Little White Town”. Sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages at Appledore and Clovelly and estuary beach at Instow are all a short drive.

Stepping up into the property you have the lounge to your right with comfy sofas, feature fireplace with wood burner effect electric fire and Smart TV/DVD. The dining room also has a TV and is an ideal place to discuss your plans and adventures. From here three steps lead up to the kitchen which, although compact, has all you need to whip up a meal or light snack, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. Heading up the stairs there are two bedrooms one super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request) and one twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a super-king-size on request), at the end of the landing is a large bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Booked this cottage for my Mums 60th birthday, the owner was so lovely and even put up some banners for her birthday. There was a very detailed welcome pack and fresh scones with cream, jams and even some milk in the fridge for our arrival. We had such a lovely weekend and cannot thank the owner enough. We may even return again later in the year!

We had a really lovely stay. The cottage was well equipped and child friendly. The bedrooms are really spacious and comfortable, and the location is great - just a short walk to the quay!

This quiet cottage is on a pedestrian street. Bideford is full of slopes and quirky narrow streets. The feature is the bridge.

The cottage is in a great location for the town and routes to many beautiful beaches and tourist sites. Good size rooms and comfortable beds. Would definitely use as a base again.
