Situated next to the owner’s property with its own entrance, this impressive reverse level cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and is perfect for couples looking for a cosy break. Within walking distance of the popular town centre of Bridport, which has a choice of restaurants, pubs and shops for those essential supplies, as well as a thriving selection of boutiques selling antiques and vintage curios, should you wish to seek out some treasures. The town is well known for its popular weekly markets with a good selection of stalls including foodstuffs, clothing, flowers, Bric-a-Brac and much more. For vintage and antique lovers, there is also a seasonal monthly market which attracts people from far and wide. The property is also close to a range of visitor attractions, including Bridport Golf Club and Axe Valley Wildlife Park, and there are also an abundance of cycle paths locally. Nearby West Bay, made famous by the BBC series Broadchurch, has a shingle beach with stunning cliffs as the back drop. Set in the heart of the Jurassic Coast, the area is ideal for an array of outdoor pursuits including fossil-hunting, boat trips, fishing and diving. Also set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you will find this picturesque area has an abundance of pretty towns and villages with many scenic walks to explore.

Stepping through the front door, you will find an inviting lounge which is a superb place to relax on the recliners in front of the TV and electric effect wood burner. As you make your way up the stairs you will encounter the delightful light and airy bedroom with a king-size bed and pleasant views. Follow a short, tastefully decorated hallway into the quirky first-floor kitchen. This room has a dining table with seating for two overlooking the garden, as well as an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave. The fridge and freezer can be found in a utility room. Also on the first floor is the shower room with walk in shower and a WC.

The enclosed garden is accessed from the lounge and has outdoor furniture and a fire pit. There is a patio area to relax in and catch the sun, read or enjoy some al fresco dining. An infrared sauna available for guests' use at a small fee. Also in the garden is access to an adjacent outbuilding containing a washing machine and tumble dryer for convenience.

A very homely accommodation with all the items necessary for a comfortable stay. The owners are very helpful and the cottage is next door to the owners themselves. There was an unexpected welcome pack that included home made scones and a bottle of bubbly. I highly recommend the accommodation

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful little cottage. It was spotlessly clean. Well equipped with everything you needed. I had forgotten my adapter plug for my toothbrush but, but not to worry there was one in the top drawer in the gorgeous new bathroom. Loved the topsy turvey layout too. We had rain two days but we stayed cosy in the little Read morecottage just relaxing & reading. Its also central to all surrounding areas. Not forgetting the lovely welcome tray of goodies. Fabulous! The Dairy is a lovely, quirky, cottage with so many little extra touches. It's really clean and well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It has a lovely, private garden, perfect for relaxing after a day's exploring. The welcome pack was excellent and much appreciated. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.

"QUIRKY" LAYOUT TOOK SOME GETTING USED TO. BUT, THE PROPERTY WAS VERY WELL EQUIPPED AND CLEAN. PRIVATE GARDEN WAS LOVELY, PEACEFUL AND QUIET. MAYBE SOME CUSHIONS FOR THE SEATS?

Another relaxing holiday in Dairy Cottage! Clean, comfortable and everything you need for a self catering break. The new shower room is excellent. The new recliner chairs are very comfortable. The Dairy is a super little cottage and this was our third stay. It's perfect for a couple, in a quiet location. Situated between the town and the beach, it's an easy/level 1 mile walk to either., plus loads of access to the hills. The cottage has everything you need and the owners are very welcoming. The Dairy at Wanderwell cottage is ideally located in Bridport for exploring Dorset. West Bay is close by and the town centre is a short walk away, as indeed is a garden centre and large supermarket.. our accommodation was very well furnished and spotlessly clean. Spent a wonderful week in the cottage helped enormously by the best weather of 2023! Excellent location with 15 minute stroll north to the town centre with pubs & restaurants, & a 20 minute countryside stroll down to West Bay beach & all its cafes etc. We loved the garden for both sun & shade. Would highly recommend the cottage to anyone looking foRead morer a relaxing stay in/near Bridport. We particularly enjoyed food at the Olive Tree in Bridport & Anchor in Burton Bradstock. The cottage is very well located for many of the coastal areas in Dorset. Bridport is a lively town with many independent shops & cafes. We ate at the Olive Tree which we can highly recommend. West Bay is just around the corner and is a great place to visit on an evening. The cottage itself is very quirky & has everything you need for a weeks holidRead moreay. The cottage is well equipped and situated conveniently for walking and bus services. Wendy and Bill made us feel very welcome and supplied a welcome tray of drinks and cream tea. We had a lovely holiday.

It is a little gem. A little quirky but we loved it. Kitchen on first floor is lovely, overlooks the lovely sun trap of a garden. Bed very comfortable. Really quiet. We loved it.

Would recommend this cottage to any potential holiday makers as it is well equipped. If you like to walk only 20 minutes to Bridport or use the old railway line to West Bay about 15 minutes away. Only used the car twice mainly on the last day of the holiday. Very good bus service from Bridport bus station. A Morrisons supermarket very close by onlyRead more about 5 to 8 minutes walk. Hide

Very warm, comfortable, clean cottage. very well equipped for self catering. Good location, between Bridport and West Bay, each a twenty minute walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this cosy cottage with its delightful quirky layout. It was equipped with all we could possibly need and the welcome pack provided by our hosts was an unexpected bonus. The cottage was incredibly quiet and peaceful with the location being perfect for exploring both Bridport and West Bay without using the car!
