Grade II listed thatched barn conversion property, situated on the outskirts of the small town of North Tawton, ideally located in mid-Devon, perfect for exploring all that the Devon region has to offer.

This property enjoys a quiet farmland location, surrounded by green fields with resident sheep. The ancient market town of North Tawton is just a short walk from the property and offers a small range of shops as well as choice of takeaway restaurants and welcoming pubs. The property’s mid-Devon location means that many of the region’s best-loved attractions are within easy reach, including: Dartmoor National Park, which is just 6 miles away; the cathedral city of Exeter, a thirty-minute drive away; and the National Trust property of Castle Drogo, ten miles to the south. The location also means that guests have a wide range of beaches within a fifty-minute drive, including Bude in Cornwall, Westward Ho! in North Devon, and Torquay on the English Riviera.

This delightful thatched barn conversion cottage offers comfortable accommodation for four guests in lovely rural surroundings. This spacious lounge/kitchen/diner is a sunny light-filled room, thanks to the large floor-to-ceiling patio windows which run along one side of the room. The comfortable sofas and the dining table are both positioned to make the most of the attractive views across neighbouring fields, whilst a TV/DVD, and hi-fi provide relaxing entertainment in the evenings. The fully equipped kitchen area, off-set to one end of the room, offers breakfast-bar style seating, as well as an oven, hob, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, Wi-Fi included approx. 45mbs. There are two bedrooms, both of which have some reduced head-height, due to their location in the eaves of the property. The first of these is a relaxing double room, whilst the second is a restful twin room. The ground-floor bathroom has a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside, several external steps lead down from the patio doors, to the enclosed terrace, where there is garden furniture from which guests can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the views across the neighbouring fields. There is a secure paddock which guests are able to use when exercising their dogs, whenever they are free of livestock. There is parking provided for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Peaceful location. The property details give a good description of the facilities; there is more room downstairs than the impression we gained from the photographs.

Fully equipped kitchen, plenty of space for our party of 3 adults, and the photos on the internet don't do it justice. Parking for one car directly outside the front door, on a really quiet road. Village shops, chippy, etc a 10 minute walk away. Centrally located in Devon close to main roads.
