This property is located in the village of Sinderby in North Yorkshire, seven miles from the traditional market town of Thirsk. This attractive town with its cobbled square is a lovely place to spend an afternoon wandering around the shops, or perhaps enjoying a pleasant walk along the river. Around the town, there are plenty of attractions to please all interests, including a Birds of Prey Centre, The World of James Herriot, Kiplin Hall, and a fantastic outdoor pursuits centre, Yorkshire Outdoors, which offers a huge range of activities including 4x4 off-roading, Segways, quad biking, and clay pigeon shooting. Further afield, but still within easy reach, the towns of Harrogate and Ripon make excellent destinations for day trips, as does the RHS garden at Harlow Carr.
On arrival at this five-star cottage guests come first to the spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This welcoming space is a characterful room with high beamed ceilings and a warming wood burner. There is comfortable sofa and armchair seating from which guests can enjoy the TV/DVD, as well as patio doors which open onto the property’s patio. At the far end of the space, the kitchen area is furnished with a dining table and equipped with a Range-style oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Two of the property’s bedrooms are king-size rooms which can be made up as twin rooms on request, each benefitting from its own Smart TV and en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC. The third bedroom, meanwhile, is a restful double room with an en-suite shower and WC.
To the rear of the property, there is an enclosed patio with a BBQ and patio furniture, as well as the ultimate relaxing treat, a hot tub. There is also a small bistro patio set at the front of the property. Guests are able to follow a designated walking route around the owner’s farm, allowing them to meet the resident animals and possibly collect eggs from the chickens.
