This semi rural cottage enjoys a lovely location on the Gower Peninsula, and yet is just five miles from Swansea city centre, where visitors can enjoy the city’s wide range of shops, restaurants, or visit the 12th century castle. The Mumbles makes a great place for a day trip with its Victorian pier, seafront eateries, and traditional craft workshops. Seaside lovers will find themselves spoilt for choice, as the area is awash with wide sandy beaches, secluded bays, and picturesque rocky coves. Of course, the area’s most well-known son was the poet Dylan Thomas, and those with an interest in the literary heritage can follow in his footsteps, perhaps by taking a visit to his birthplace in the Swansea suburbs, or travelling a little further afield to the Laugharne, to the secluded boathouse where he wrote many of his best-loved poems. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).

At the heart of this cottage, guests will find the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where guests can relax in front of the Smart TV/DVD, or gather around the table and enjoy chatting over long lunches. The kitchen area is tucked away in the corner and is equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a convenient cloakroom with a WC on the ground floor, whilst the two bedrooms can be found upstairs on the first floor. The first of these is a double room which has a lovely restful atmosphere to it, whilst the second bedroom is a twin room with a chest of drawers and a wardrobe giving guests plenty of space to store their clothes. The shower room can also be found on this floor, offering a shower and WC.

Outside, there is an attractive shared lawned garden which wraps around the back and side of the cottage, where guests can enjoy alfresco meals on the provided table and chairs, or perhaps light up the BBQ.

The cottage is in a great location on the edge of town thus with access to amenities, and yet also with easy access to the Gower countryside. The view from the sitting room is green and lovely, and country walks are available from the doorstep. The hosts are very friendly and live next-door.
