Purpose-built stone cottage located on the southern edge of the Gower peninsula in South Wales, situated just six miles from The Mumbles and five miles from Swansea.

This semi rural cottage enjoys a lovely location on the Gower Peninsula, and yet is just five miles from Swansea city centre, where visitors can shop till they drop, enjoy delicious meals in the city’s wide range of restaurants, or visit the 12th century castle. Alternatively, The Mumbles makes a great place for a day trip with its Victorian pier, seafront eateries, and traditional craft workshops. Seaside lovers will find themselves spoilt for choice, as the area is awash with wide sandy beaches, secluded bays, and picturesque rocky coves. Of course, the area’s most well-known son was the poet Dylan Thomas, and those with an interest in the literary heritage can follow in his footsteps, perhaps by taking a visit to his birthplace in the Swansea suburbs, or travelling a little further afield to the Laugharne, to the secluded boathouse where he wrote many of his best-loved poems.

At the heart of this cottage, guests will find the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where guests can relax in front of the TV/DVD, or gather around the table and enjoy chatting over long lunches. The kitchen area is tucked away in the corner and is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. There is also a convenient cloakroom with a WC on the ground floor, whilst the two bedrooms can be found upstairs on the first floor. The first of these is a double room which has a lovely restful atmosphere to it, whilst the second bedroom is a twin room with a chest of drawers and a wardrobe giving guests plenty of space to store their clothes. The shower room can also be found on this floor, offering a shower and WC.

Outside, there is an attractive lawned garden which wraps around the back and side of the cottage, where guests can enjoy alfresco meals on the provided table and chairs, or perhaps light up the BBQ.

We loved this sparkling clean, beautifully presented, well-equipped and cosy cottage. Its on a quiet village road, but there is a lovely view of fields and trees from the picture window. Its easy to get to all parts of the Gower for lovely walks and beaches, and you can get a local bus into Swansea. Highly recommended!

The cottage was very comfortable and cleanliness was exceptional. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a lovely garden with horses in the field next to the cottage. The owners were happy to recommend some beautiful and very interesting walks.

Although the access to the cottage appears rather 'urban' the setting on arrival + view is certainly rural with horses in the adjacent fields across to the woods and hills. Some lovely walks in the area beyond the cottage and up to the common as well as further afield. Great accomodation with many extras provided and the lovely weather meant the buRead moreilding was really warm so no heating was needed. Brilliant shower too! Hide
