Purpose-built, one of a pair of stone cottages, located on the northern edge of the Gower peninsula in South Wales, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just six miles from The Mumbles with its Victorian pier and town.

This semi rural cottage enjoys a lovely location on the Gower Peninsula, and yet is just five miles from Swansea city centre, where visitors can enjoy the city’s wide range of shops, restaurants, or visit the 12th century castle. The Mumbles makes a great place for a day trip with its Victorian pier, seafront eateries, and traditional craft workshops. Seaside lovers will find themselves spoilt for choice, as the area is awash with wide sandy beaches, secluded bays, and picturesque rocky coves. Of course, the area’s most well-known son was the poet Dylan Thomas, and those with an interest in the literary heritage can follow in his footsteps, perhaps by taking a visit to his birthplace in the Swansea suburbs, or travelling a little further afield to the Laugharne, to the secluded boathouse where he wrote many of his best-loved poems. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).

At the heart of this cottage, guests will find the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where guests can relax in front of the TV/DVD, or gather around the table and enjoy chatting over long lunches. The kitchen area is tucked away in the corner and is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a convenient cloakroom with a WC on the ground floor, whilst the two bedrooms can be found upstairs on the first floor. The first of these is a double room which has a lovely restful atmosphere to it, whilst the second bedroom is a twin room with a chest of drawers and a wardrobe giving guests plenty of space to store their clothes. The shower room can also be found on this floor, offering a shower and WC.

Outside, there is an attractive shared lawned garden which wraps around the back and side of the cottage, where guests can enjoy alfresco meals on the provided table and chairs, or perhaps light up the BBQ.

  • 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin
  • Shower room with shower and WC located on the first floor
  • Ground-floor WC
  • TV/DVD
  • Wi-Fi included

  • Travel cot and highchair available
  • Bed linen, electric, and heating included

Lovely cottage with off street parking. The cottage was very clean and welcoming when we arrived. Ideal location for exploring the Gower and Brecon Beacons. Roughly 5 miles from both the Mumbles and Swansea where there are a wide selection of lovely restaurants if you want to eat out. We will definitely be back for a another visit!

We loved this sparkling clean, beautifully presented, well-equipped and cosy cottage. Its on a quiet village road, but there is a lovely view of fields and trees from the picture window. Its easy to get to all parts of the Gower for lovely walks and beaches, and you can get a local bus into Swansea. Highly recommended!
