Set within a lovely peaceful setting to enjoy a quiet  and relaxing break. The popular village of Pontesbury benefits from an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy in this vibrant community village. The area has easy access onto the national cycle route and an array of countryside walks. For the keen golfer the local club is 3 miles away and in easy reach of Hawkstone Park. Shrewsbury is just a short drive away and is a town of Saxon heritage which was further developed by the Tudor’s. Located within a loop of the River Severn the town is renowned for its castle, timber framed buildings, abbey and green open parkland. Powis Castle is a popular attraction with gardens and parkland with a range of activities for all ages all year round.

When entering the property on the ground level you will find an open plan lounge with feature wood burner creating a lovely welcoming atmosphere, well equipped kitchen breakfast room and open dining room with far reaching views being the ideal family entertainment space. There is also a well-equipped kitchen area with electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer and breakfast bar together with a utility room with washing machine and small fridge. The ground floor also benefits from a shower and WC. Upstairs comprises of 3 bedrooms,1 super-king-size, 2 double bedrooms together with family bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

Quarry Terrace is located on the side of a foothill of the Shropshire Hills with a lovely view across to the hills of the Welsh borders, and the potential for stunning sunsets (we had a couple). The cottage is very comfortable, comprehensively equipped and was spotlessly clean on arrival (even the fridge!). Great cottage, great location, very clean and spacious. Pontesbury is very nice and a great starting point for visiting Shropshire. Great hikes directly from the cottage too.

This is a really nice property. We have stayed in quite a lot of cottages in rural Shropshire and this was hands down the best equipped. It was so nice to have more than six plates, bowls, mugs etc in a six bed property. It is an old cottage with a modern kitchen and bathrooms.

The cottage was fabulous. It is in a great location - close to Pontesbury with its very good restaurants and a great local butchers/bakery and grocery store. It is in an ideal position for lovely walks in the Shropshire hills. The cottage was extremely comfortable with great views over the neighbouring countryside. Having four of us in the cottage for a week was no problem with plenty of room to relax, dine, sleep etc. It is a very well appointed and situated in a small town not far from Shrewsbury. Many of Shropshire's and mid Wales tourist attractions are within an easy drive, with plenty of walking on the Long Mynd and Stiperstones nearby. The location is Read morevery quiet with sufficient outdoor space to enjoy the finer weather (seating and tables provided). Excellent value for money, would stay again. Hide

Owner had thought of everything to make this feel like a great getaway from it all holiday. House was pristine and extremely well equipped. Lovely and peaceful at night, great sunsets and lots of nice eating places to try in the evening. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage with great views. It's very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The perfect base for us to explore Shropshire. Plenty of walks nearby as well as pretty villages and towns. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Quarry Terrace for a break.

Very comfortable and cosy cottage with great views. The owner was very helpful with both details of the cottage and local area. Having a car is essential. We enjoyed very relaxing break in a beautiful part of the country.

I'd highly recommend Quarry Terrace. It is well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable, baths and showers are modern and the kitchen has all you need to cook. Lynnette kindly set up the woodburning stove in case we had a chilly day (it was an unusually wet and windy August!).
