This property is great for those wishing to explore the Peak District National Park and its attractions. A short drive away from the barn is the traditional market towns of Leek, Ashbourne and Bakewell where you can spend a few hours browsing independent shops or grab a bite to eat in one of the many cafes offering homemade local food. The historical town of Buxton is only a short drive away too, or if you fancy hitting a theme park, Alton Towers is great for a fun-filled day out. Outdoor enthusiasts must explore the Peak District National Park with its opportunities for activities including cycling, climbing, kayaking and more.

Step into the spacious kitchen/diner that is equipped with all the essentials for creating a delicious meal for the family, including an electric Range oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The spacious lounge has a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, a TV and a stone fireplace with a dual aspect wood burner. A sofa bed which sleeps two adults can also be found in the lounge. Heading up the stairs to the stylish mezzanine landing which is lit by two large skylights, that in turn capture the light from sunrise and sunset providing wonderful lighting. The mezzanine leads to the two bedrooms both with exposed beams. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and sloped ceilings and the second bedroom has two single beds. Completing the property is the spacious bathroom with a bath, separate shower and a WC.

There is a small grass and gravelled area outside with seating and a charcoal BBQ that is perfect for al fresco dining. There is also bicycle storage. Please note this property has a private water supply.

This was our second stay here as this cottage ticks every box for us and our 2 dogs. Paul the owner is helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The cottage is spacious and clean and well equipped. The garden is enclosed but not fully which might be a problem for some dogs who can get through little gaps. Paul was very relaxed about where the dRead moreogs could go. The location is fabulous, remote but only a few minutes drive from shops and pub serving food.. great place and we will be returning. Nice place. It'd be good if they can advise ahead of time it's off-road and there's no mobile connectivity.

We stayed for a long weekend, its off the beaten track, tranquil and peaceful yet not far from local places of interest. Paul couldnt do more to make sure you are made welcome and have everything you need.

We have just had the nicest week staying at Hill View Barn. The accommodation is lovely, really well done and lots of space whilst being cosy. The location is stunning, views are beautiful and close to lots of awesome things to do. Paul is a top guy, so attentive from before our stay to the last minute. Fantastic cottage in a great location! Wonderful views and walks on your doorstep - a great base to explore the Peak District. We had a great meal at the Black Lion in Butterton which is close by.

A fantastic cottage, well equipped in an ideal location for both a peaceful holiday and access to a great variety of activities including walking and sightseeing. The owner, Paul, was there when you needed him but otherwise he leaves you to enjoy your time in the cottage; he is very knowledgeable about the local area and very helpful as well, the pRead moreerfect host. Well equipped and comfortable with amazing views. Although well off the beaten track (and on one!) it was centrally located for many beautiful countryside locations within a short drive.

Great barn conversion, very comfortable and eco-friendly. Amazing location with a real feel of being out in the wild, yet at least 2 pubs serving food within 2 - 3 miles of the property. Great for access to White Peak and Dark Peak favourites. Will definitely be booking again. Beautiful barn very very remote which we loved, but something to be aware of, at the end of a bumpy signal track. We stayed with our 14 year old, 3 month old and dog. Lovely and comfortable and spotless has everything you need, water is from a private water source and wasnt to our taste (Iron rich) so ordered some bottled.
