A delightful rural property nestled at the end of a lane surrounding Butterton Moor, offering spectacular vistas of the surrounding landscape, this is perfect for those wanting to get away from it all.

This property is great for those wishing to explore the Peak District National Park and its attractions. A short drive away from the barn is the traditional market towns of Leek, Ashbourne and Bakewell where you can spend a few hours browsing independent shops or grab a bite to eat in one of the many cafes offering homemade local food. The historical town of Buxton is only a short drive away too, or if you fancy hitting a theme park, Alton Towers is great for a fun-filled day out. Outdoor enthusiasts must explore the Peak District National Park with its opportunities for activities including cycling, climbing, kayaking and more.

Step into the spacious kitchen/diner that is equipped with all the essentials for creating a delicious meal for the family, including an electric Range oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The spacious lounge has a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, a TV and a stone fireplace with a dual aspect wood burner. A sofa bed which sleeps two adults can also be found in the lounge. Heading up the stairs to the stylish mezzanine landing which is lit by two large skylights, that in turn capture the light from sunrise and sunset providing wonderful lighting. The mezzanine leads to the two bedrooms both with exposed beams. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and sloped ceilings and the second bedroom has two single beds. Completing the property is the spacious bathroom with a bath, separate shower and a WC.

There is a small grass and gravelled area outside with seating and a charcoal BBQ that is perfect for al fresco dining. There is ample off-road parking and bicycle storage can also be found. Please note this property has a private water supply.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Ideal for a quiet, recharging break...cottage well placed to access a variety of towns, villages and walks...Great space to relax. Fire kept us warm and dry all week. Dogs chilled out too! Thoroughly recommend to all, Paul the host, extremely helpful and genuinely cared about our stay too.

Really lovely barn, perfect if you want a remote location. There are some nice walks right from the door. Host is very accommodating. No heating in the property other than a fire downstairs. Bed not very comfortable and lacking in some soft touches to make it homely and cosy.

Paul the owner is very attentive in terms of the customer service he provides yet far from intrusive.. He is very informative in terms of local amenities to ensure you have the best vacation. The barn is just beautiful and in a fabulous location that feels remote yet still close to villages and towns. Very friendly and helpful owner, went out of his way to help with WIFI issues, good local knowledge and gave us good suggestions of places to eat and visit. Beautiful location, the property is very spacious and with a luxury comfortable feel and amazing views.The property has a private water supply which doesnt taste the same as mains water, so we chose to drink bottled water. The track down to the property is very uneven and bumpy, not suitable for vehicles low to the ground. Once again we had a fantastic holiday at Hill View Barn. The space and light in the building is second to none, it is perfectly equipped and welcoming, and the local walks and areas of interest within a very few miles are wide-ranging. We hope to be back really soon!

Lovely secluded setting with fantastic views and privacy. Located just on the edge of the Peak District with fantastic walks close to the cottage. Plenty of room in the cottage and a lovely log burner to keep you warm during the winter weather. Fantastic dog friendly pubs close by with amazing home cooked food ( The Jervis Arms).
