Bespoke cedar cabin, boasting a private hot tub, situated within the grounds of a fantastic gastropub on the outskirts of the seaside town of Westward Ho! in North Devon.

This property is situated on the edge of the popular seaside town of Westward Ho! in North Devon, which has an impressive two mile wide expanse of sandy beach, with its own surf academy offering lessons and surf board hire. There are a number of handy shops in the town, as well as a choice of cafes which are a great place to refuel and escape the midday sun on the beach. Also within the local area is the estuary village of Instow with its beach and yacht club, the traditional fishing village of Appledore, and the attractive harbour town of Bideford.

This stylish wooden cabin, one of three holiday properties at this location, enjoys a fantastic situation within the grounds of a well regarded gastropub. On entering the cabin, guests will find the stylishly understated lounge/kitchen/diner with its comfortable corner sofa, Smart TV, dining table for four, and pretty kitchen units equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. There are two bedrooms in the cabin, one of which is a restful double size room with bi-fold doors opening onto the decked terrace, the other being a twin room, which can be made up as a double size on request thanks to the zip-and-link beds. The contemporary shower room has a stylish shower and WC.

Outside, the property benefits from a decked terrace great for your furry friend with countryside views, where guests can enjoy the relaxing sunken hot tub, or fire up the BBQ and enjoy an al fresco meal at the table and chairs.

Ample parking available.

Guests can also make use of the 2* AA Rosette gastro pub’s grounds which provide plenty of space for younger guests to play, and are even home to some friendly farm animals! Of course, guests will not want to miss out on the chance to sample the fabulous food in the pub, although please be aware that advance booking is essential. Guests to the pub will also find a range of pub games, including a traditional skittle alley, and a boules piste.

Due to the current situation the onsite Pig On The Hill pub/restaurant will be closed until 1st January 2021, meaning the outside retro games will not be available. Picnic tables on site can be used as where social distancing can be adhered to. If you have any specific questions regarding your booking please contact our customer services team.

A very homely stay for 3 of us plus our dog. We enjoyed the hot tub, despite Storm Dennis, and as the cottage is perfectly situated for a short drive to the beach, we loved the ease of getting out and about exploring. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. We ate at the Pig on the Hill and the food was superb. Wifi was good (a must Read morehave for our 10 year old after a day on the beach) Hide

Perfect for four people, loved all the little touches, like biscuits/ fruit and wine, filled tea and sugar canisters, fairy etc. Very clean and tidy, didnt have a freezer so dont buy any frozen goods beforehand!

Location wise ideal if you like walking/trekking & it being nice & quiet during the night except when the pub is open. If you like being in the countryside then this lodge is ideal especially next to a pud that does decent food.
