The cottage itself is lovely, full of character and quiet. We particularly enjoyed the little conservatory where we could sit and enjoy the view of the garden. The surroundings are beautiful too - and so convenient for getting into Stratford and into the surrounding countryside. We hope to return when everything Shakespeare is open again.

The cottage was absolutely charming, lovely and warm when we arrived and fully equipped. A very sweet garden and a great location. The only down side is the bathroom is on the ground floor and with quite steep stairs so is difficult if you want to go to the toilet during the night. This house is exactly as described. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owner (Jill) responded immediately to one query which was reassuring. It is what you would expect from a house this age with low doorways and steep stairs. The small conservatory overlooking a pretty, well maintained garden is a bonus.

Winters Tale cottage was in a prime location. You can walk into Stratford & Anne Hathaways cottage was just down the road. Certainly the cottage is not for any one with mobility problems. Stairs were steep & with bathroom downstairs it could be a problem at night !! The garden is pretty & cottage has everything you need.

Homely, atmospheric, beautiful and cosy. Everything one would want from a thatched cottage. The light flickering from the fireplace even when the heat wasnt on. It made the lounge look beautiful. Pretty from the outside when sitting in the garden having drinks. Beds were so warm and cosy. Great location to travel to different places.
