One of four tastefully converted holiday cottages, set amongst the magnificent grounds of a 23 acre country house estate, Woodpecker's Cottage is within a short drive of spectacular beaches and coves, and forms the perfect base from which to explore all the Lizard Peninsula has to offer.
The immediate area is steeped in maritime and smuggling history and is renowned for having one of the best climates in England. Head towards the coast and visit traditional Cornish villages such as Mullion, Porthleven and Coverack. Attractions in the area include The Minack Theatre, National Seal Sanctuary, Flambards Theme Park, and the Tate Gallery at St Ives, to name just a few.
The accommodation is arranged on one floor, accessed by three steps. The generous double bedroom has a modern en-suite shower room and WC. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner comes complete with Smart TV, Ruark audio, a wireless point for Wi-FI and boasts views over the swimming pool area. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. There is a shared utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer in the courtyard.
Leisure facilities: shared heated outdoor swimming pool (open from May to the end of September, weather permitting), changing room and WC. Outside: access to 23 acres of farmland with sheep, chickens and horses, picnic areas, walks and access to public footpaths and ample private off-road parking.
