Cosy chocolate-box cottage situated in the small village of Bradford-on-Tone, with easy access to the towns of Taunton and Wellington, and within a 35-minute drive of Somerset’s coastline.

This property is situated in the heart of Somerset, in the small village of Bradford-on-Tone, within walking distance of the village pub and community shop. The county town of Taunton lies just four miles east of the property, and offers a range of shops and eateries, as well as being home to the county cricket club, a thriving theatre and arts centre, and a leisure centre with a swimming pool. To the north of the property, the Somerset coast offers everything from the traditional seaside town of Minehead, to the pretty village of Porlock, and the harbour town of Watchet.

A warm welcome awaits guests staying at this cottage, as the front door opens directly into the inviting lounge/diner with its comfortable sofas, exposed brick fireplace which houses the cosy wood burner-effect electric fire, TV/DVD, and a good-sized dining table. A doorway leads from here into the kitchen, where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, whilst a separate utility room is home to the washing machine and tumble dryer. The bathroom is also located on the ground floor of the property and offers a bath, shower, and WC. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The first of these is a double room which benefits from its own TV and an en-suite WC, whilst the second room can be made up as either a twin or on request, a super-king, thanks to the zip-and-link beds. Outside, the property enjoys a rear garden, which is mainly set to lawn and has garden furniture providing guests with a space in which to relax and enjoy the sunshine. There is off-road parking available for up to three cars.

  • 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin (can be made up as a super-king on request at the time of booking)
  • Bathroom with bath, shower, and WC
  • En-suite WC to the double room
  • TV/DVD, plus additional set upstairs
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer

A lovely, relaxing week in a beautiful, cosy "olde worlde" cottage. Just what we needed! Great, dog friendly, pub in the (very friendly) village, serving excellent food. The Sunday lunch was just like home cooking - you really need to book in advance though. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the trips out from this very central location.

Pretty, traditional thatched cottage in a quiet village location. Very well equipped and nicely decorated. Beds and furniture very comfortable; heating, TV and WiFi are all good, but no telephone signal. Owner very pleasant and helpful. Stone floors downstairs look lovely, but are cold in winter (take your slippers!) The village has no street lightRead mores so you will need a torch to walk the dog and/or find the pub! Great location for touring - we went north to Dunster & Exmoor, and south to Exeter. Hide

Very nice cottage, although a shame no actual back door to the garden, had to let dogs out through side door and in to garden that way, not very nice when pitch black in middle of night as no outside lighting either, apart from that, very nice cottage. Would recommend to friends without dogs
