Spacious annexe with vaulted ceilings in a picturesque village on the edge of the Somerset Levels.

This property provides the perfect getaway for couples or families, and base for exploring Devon and Somerset. It’s situated next to the owners’ property, which was a former vicarage with its own entrance and driveway, with is in the quaint village of Mark. It’s just four miles from the market town of Highbridge on the edge of the Somerset Levels, and closely neighbours the seaside resort of Burnham-on-Sea, home to the longest stretch of sand in Europe. It’s also ideally located for attractions such as Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Wells Cathedral, as well as The Roman Baths and Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm.

Sit back and relax in front of the TV or watch a DVD in the lounge of this cosy annexe, which was fully refurbished in 2015. Here you’ll find a woodburner with the first basket of logs included - perfect for a cosy evening in. If you choose to dine at your home-from-home, you’ll find everything you need in the kitchen/diner. There’s an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, as well as a DAB radio so you can listen to your favourite songs while you cook. Under the vaulted ceiling are two bedrooms - one super king-size with a TV and one twin. And the bathroom has a bath, separate shower and WC.

Stunning property in a lovely location for reaching anywhere in Somerset. We had a lovely week here exploring. The cottage was clean and modern and we had a great week away.

This was our 4th visit to the Little Vicarage this year. The cottage is great - very comfortable and in a great location - village pub across the road and village shop a 2 minute walk. Location is excellent for visiting the coast at Burnham or Weston, and further afield the West Somerset coast is only a short drive. Beautiful cottage. One of the best we've rented. Great location. 2 local pubs within walking distance, serving wonderful food. Would also recommend Rich's restaurant the other end of the village. Glastonbury, Street, Wells and Weston super mare all worth a visit. Really enjoyed our holiday despite dreadful weather. Thank you so much.

Cottage had everything you would need for your holiday very well equipped and gardens really nice. Lovely little village shop and very friendly. Close to places to see lots within the hour. Only slight niggle is all the cars at school time in the village very busy so best to avoid this.

Stayed over Easter with two young children. Ideal location for exploring local beaches, Weston, Glastonbury and a visit to Cheddar Gorge. Cottage was superbly equipped - everything you could think of. Beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Great cottage. Location is excellent - in a very nice village with two pubs, both serving excellent food, and a village store just a couple of minutes walk away. Excellent location for birdwatching, walking, the coast & towns eg Glastonbury. Two good pubs, shop with post office within walking distance. Well maintained property and exceptionally clean which was much appreciated. Highly recommended.
