The lodge was very welcoming and so cosy as well as having lovely surroundings and walks around the fishery. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. All the places we wanted to visit were a short drive. Will go back for more

My wife and I loved our week's stay at Blakewell. David & Shirley, the owners, are wonderful people who have created - along with their sons - a piece of 'Heaven in Devon' (as one of their guests put it!). We would be happy to return as it provided the 'perfect' retreat for us. We also enjoyed meeting Richard and John (the sons) and learning more aRead morebout the area. Hide

Kingfisher Lodge was even better than the photos portrayed it was very peaceful and the surroundings so beautiful. Our hosts were very friendly but not intrusive and the tea room nearby were handy for lunch or homemade scones with of course Clotted cream. We enjoyed our stay so much we shall be returning next year.
