Stylish holiday cottage with far-reaching estuary views in the traditional fishing village of Appledore in North Devon, within walking distance of the village’s shops, eateries, and seasonal ferry.

This property enjoys an elevated position in the village of Appledore in North Devon, just a short walk from the village’s shops, pubs, restaurants, maritime museum, and the traditional fishing quay. In the summer months, a ferry runs across the estuary to the nearby village of Instow, where visitors will find a yacht club, beach, and even more places to eat. Beach-lovers will also love the two-mile wide sandy beach at Westward Ho! which is just two miles away, and boasts a surf school offering lessons in surfing and stand-up paddleboarding.This charmingly stylish property makes a great place from which to enjoy a break in North Devon.

The lounge, which is found on the first floor of the property, is a wonderfully relaxing, light-filled space, which has stunning estuary views, inviting sofas, TV, DVD, and hi-fi. Guests should be careful that children take care here, as the staircase leads directly into the room itself. On the ground floor, there is a spacious kitchen/diner with French doors opening onto the property’s garden, and which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine is housed in a nearby cupboard. There are three bedrooms in the property: two doubles and one single room, all of which are lovely restful spaces with understated muted colours. The bathroom offers a shower-over-bath with WC, and there is also a handy separate WC on the ground floor. Outside, there is an enclosed patio garden to the rear of the property, with a BBQ and garden furniture. There is also secure storage available for guests’ use, which is great for storing bikes and wetsuits. As is usual in Appledore, there is no parking attached to the property, but there is roadside and car park parking available locally.

We had a fabulous stay in this cottage. It is clean, light, airy and well equipped with everything you need while on holiday. The lounge is really light, comfortable and has fabulous views over the estuary. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen was good quality. The towels were also superb- thick and fluffy. The bathroom was clean and modern Read moreand the extra loo downstairs was handy. Appledore was a lovely place with a great delicatessan John's and some good pubs to eat in. A super cottage! Hide

It's the best booked again as soon as we got home a very small walk to town and I mean 600 yards but a hill to get back but not very steep lovely lovely

We stayed in the salt house appledore over the new year period , it was lovely to be welcomed with a card and gifts for the new year and for us that the Christmas tree was still up. The layout of the upstairs was perfect for bedtime with a 7 year old in the party and all rooms in the house were comfortable and well presented. Although appledore is Read morea quaint village we were still able to enjoy takeaway pizza , deli delights and family drinks at the Seagate hotel . Would certainly do this again Hide
