The immediate area is a haven for wildlife, and walkers can enjoy some picturesque strolls direct from the property. Alternatively, just a short drive away, Bodmin Moor, the Tamar Valley and Dartmoor National Park are waiting to be explored. If you enjoy the sea, head north and visit Bude, pretty Clovelly, spectacular Hartland Point, or south and explore an array of scenic coves and picturesque fishing villages such as Mevagissey, Looe and Polperro on the Cornish side, and the beautiful South Hams. Other attractions accessible from here include Launceston, a bustling market town with original Norman castle, the picturesque cathedral cities of Exeter and Truro, The Eden Project, Tamar Otter Park, the Camel Trail and numerous National Trust properties.

Stepping into the property, you will immediately find all of the accommodation is conveniently arranged on one level making this a great option for all ages. The first area is the useful hallway and located directly off this there is a spacious shower room with WC. From here the property opens up and you find yourself in the fabulously light yet beautifully cosy open-plan living space with lounge, kitchen and dining area. This offers a wood burner effect electric fire, Smart TV and is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring. The kitchen itself is also well-equipped and boasts an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine fridge and dishwasher. The rest of the accommodation is made up of the lovely bedrooms. The first a king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) with a TV and the second is a king-size bedroom with TV.

Outside of the property and to the front there is a lovely enclosed garden with lawn, gravelled patio area, garden furniture, hot tub and a charcoal BBQ, exclusively for the use of Journey's End. You can relax in the hot tub on a warm evening with a glass of bubbly in hand. Further to this, you will also benefit from use of a shared large enclosed dog walking paddock with stream (please kindly take care with children and pets), swing seat and stunning countryside views.

Location was lovely if just a little remote for visitor attractions. Hot tub was very enjoyable to use and local garden centre good for breakfast.

The accommodation is spotlessly clean. Home from home. Loue and Greg have thought of everything. Sofa blanket for dogs, convenient secure dog field to run freely. Journeys End is well equipped and immaculately presented. The hosts Louise and Greg are attentive and welcoming and we particularly appreciated their genuine dog-friendliness which makes a change from other cottages which advertise as such but are clearly less so in reality. It felt like a real treat to stay in this cottage which is very well kitted out. Perfect for dog owners, with an enclosed garden, a dog walking field and a dog shower with hot water. You can tell the quality, thought and love that has been going into making this holiday home what it is... It was a beautiful cottage and the optional home cooked meals were amazing. Perfect rural retreat for a peaceful holiday. The cottage is amazing, well equipped, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. You must try some meals delivered to the door by Lou and Greg. Excellent restaurant quality food and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Journey's End cottage. The cottage is incredibly well equipped and comfortable. We had a wonderful week at Journeys End Cotage. The cottage was amazing Beds were so comfortable. We had everything we needed. Lovely secure garden for our dog. Just back from a three night stay at the wonderful Poole farm cottage. Greg and Lou are fantastic hosts. It was our wedding anniversary and at my request Lou provided a banner, balloon and flowers for my wife. There was also a bottle of Prosecco and a card from Greg and Lou which was a very nice touch. We stayed at Journeys End in October half term. On arrival greeted by Lou and Gregg, and their dog Rufus. I stayed here for 4 nights with my family and could not fault anything. Everything was perfect. Lou and Greg were lovely hosts. Lou is an amazing cook. We had a fantastic time in Journey's End cottage. Beautiful setting & easy access to lots of different places of interest. We enjoyed relaxing in the lovely hot tub at the end of each day. Wonderful home cooked food by Lou. One of our guests is celiac and he said that he's never tasted such lovely food.

We had a really lovely visit to Poole Farm. The hosts were so nice, and the option to order food was fabulous (and delicious). We had a particularly warm day and decided to stay at the cottage with our dog Button who would have struggled with walking in the heat. We took full advantage of the hot tub and lovely garden. This was by far the lovlest cottage I've ever stayed in. Couldn't fault a thing. The hosts are amazing, they work so hard to make your holiday a comfortable place to relax. Had 3 homemade meals cooked beautifully by Louise, well worth every penny. Didn't want to leave.
