Period farmhouse with a wealth of attractive original features, situated in the hilltop village of Reynoldston, just a short drive to the spectacular beaches of the Gower Peninsula in South Wales.

This farmhouse property is situated on the owner’s working farm on the beautiful Gower Peninsula in South Wales. The village is set on Cefyn Bryn Common where horses, sheep, and cows graze freely, and offers a village shop and welcoming pub. From the village’s vantage point there are far-reaching views to the coast, which lies just three miles away, and offers a choice of fantastic beaches, including those at Rhossili Bay, Caswell Bay, and Nicholaston Burrows. There is also a wide range of attractions in the area, including numerous such as those at Oxwich and Swansea, The Mumbles, and the watersports centre at Oxwich.

On arrival at this farmhouse cottage, guests will immediately gain a sense of just how special it is and how well it has been maintained. There are exposed stone walls through the property, as well as beamed ceilings and well-chosen furnishings which add to the overall character of the house. The lounge, though spacious, has a welcoming cosy feel to it, with its warming wood burner set in the large fireplace, alongside comfortable seating and the TV, DVD, and iPod dock. The kitchen is, again, a characterful room with a snug breakfast area at one end, as well as a large dining table and a range of contemporary equipment and fittings including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. The washing machine, meanwhile, can be found in the separate utility room. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The first of these is a king-size room which benefits from an en-suite shower and WC. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed, but also offers an additional single bed, making it perfect for parents with a young child. The third bedroom is a pleasant twin room, whilst the bathroom with its shower-over-bath and WC can also be found on the first floor.

Outside, there is a courtyard to the front of the house where guests will find garden furniture, a BBQ, and storage for bikes, whilst a set of steps to the side of the property leads to the rear lawned garden.

  • 3 bedrooms: 1 king-size with en-suite shower room and WC, 1 king-size with additional single and 1 twin zip and link bedroom (can be made up as a king-size on request)
  • Bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC
  • En-suite shower room with shower and WC to the master bedroom
  • TV, DVD, and iPod dock in the lounge area
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine
  • Travel cot and highchair available
  • Bed linen, electric, and central heating included
  • Regret no pets

We had a wonderful stay at Hills Farmhouse. After the journey we really appreciated the welcome from the friendly chickens and homemade Welsh cakes! The cottage is cosy, comfortable and very clean. We spent lots of time in the huge family kitchen. The house is in a truly beautiful spot; the village is ideal for reaching all the beaches (by car), anRead mored there's a great pub just round the corner. We would love to come back one day. Hide

This is in a lovely village with a pub and shop within walking distance. Also a good bus service and walks from the door for days when you dont want to use your car. Plenty of things to do in the area and everyone is very friendly.

This cottage really felt homely and looked after. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. Everything was very comfortable and clean and in a beautiful village, very handy for the local pub within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others and would definitely make a return visit in the future.

We had a lovely time here, a very spacious cottage with lovely garden to play in, with the added bonus of being next to the farm and feeding the chickens and stroking the lambs. Very close to Oxwich Bay and Rhossili and a lovely pub in the village. Really great.

Fantastic cottage for a family holiday. Great location, Oxwich Bay about ten minutes away by car, Rhosilli just a bit further. The King Arthur Hotel, serving very good reasonably priced food and a great selection of beers and lagers is just five minutes walk away. We were very lucky with the weather, so all in all a great place to stay.

Deal with the bits that have been mentioned and the cottage would be great. The area is great and picturesque the local hotel The King Arthur very good for food and reasonably priced.

A lovely cosy farmhouse. Despite mixed weather we had a great holiday. The farmhouse is a great base for walking and cycling and a comfy place to return to each day. The kitchen is fairly well equipped if youre wanting to cook or the pub nearby which you can walk to does fairly good food although we preferred The Britannia which is 3 miles away.

Staying for Christmas was a real pleasure, the cottage is homely and has a lovely feel. It was made to feel really Christmassy with many lovely touches, so we felt instantly at home and welcome for Christmas. Being so close to the lovely pub was a bonus, but the kitchen and table were a lovely size for family gatherings.
