Barn conversion property, located in the spacious grounds of the owner’s house, just a short drive from North Devon’s stunning coastline, with its beaches, fishing villages and scenic clifftop walks.

This property sits nestled in a quiet spot in the idyllic Devonshire countryside, surrounded by attractive villages, each with their own character. The stunning Devon coast is just eight miles away, and offers some beautiful beaches, such as the one at Westward Ho!; pretty fishing villages, like Clovelly, a beautifully maintained heritage village; and secluded coves and clifftop walks on the Hartland Peninsula. For those who fancy a change of scene, there is plenty to see away from the seaside, including RHS Rosemoor, the riverside town of Bideford, and The Milky Way Adventure Park.

This single-storey barn conversion is accessed via a ramp which leads up to the front door. The main living space is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a relaxing space with a contemporary feel to it. The lounge area has a warming wood burner, a TV, DVD, and an iPod dock, so guests can snuggle up in the evenings and catch up with their favourite programmes. There is a small dining table, ideal for romantic meals, whilst the kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bedroom is a comfortable double room, which has a sleek en-suite wet room with shower and WC.

Outside, the property benefits from an enclosed, raised decked patio area, which offers garden furniture from which guests can enjoy the tranquil surroundings. In addition to this, guests have access to the ten acres of grounds surrounding the property, which is shared with the owner, whose home is also located here. Enjoy a game on the giant chess set, wander down to the lake, visit the resident chickens, or spend a few hours fishing in the river (guests should bring their own fishing equipment). There is ample off-road parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely quiet location even though there is a dairy farm opposite we never had any problems with noise. James and a Penny are a lovely couple and are very informative on places to visit.

A very compact cottage which is right on the roadside, albeit a single track road, opposite a working dairy farm. The cottage is equipped with all the basics and has radiator heating which is easily adjusted. The walk-in shower is super. IMPORTANT If you intend to bring a dog be aware that the pack of farm dogs opposite regard this property as theiRead morer territory and WILL intimidate your dog. This makes it somewhat unpleasant whenever outside the property whilst they are around. Hide

Cosy & comfy. A little difficult to find from directions that were provided, once you have gone left at the school and drive out of Wolsey at the fork take the Ashworthy Road and then the signpost for Hole is visible turn into Hole and continue down to the Farm.

As described, easy, comfortable and a warm home from home, especially on the cold and soggy days. The hosts and their farming neighbours were welcoming & kind. I had eggs from their chickens, onions from next door and bacon and fresh cows milk from across the road.
