This stunning farmhouse is set amongst miles of rolling countryside which stretch out ahead of you. Wild horses and mountain sheep lazily cross your path as you drive into the National Park from Hay on Wye. The farmhouse is remote and rural, yet just ten minutes to the lovely town of Hay-on-Wye famous for its bookshops and festival yet still retains its old market town atmosphere. Some of the best walking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons is right outside your door or you can hire a bike from Hay-on-Wye and take one of the mountain bike rides. Visit one of the many National Trust properties, Hergest Croft Gardens, Croft Castle, Berrington Hall or Hampton Court Gardens.
Split into two buildings, the main farmhouse and barn have been thoughtfully restored and decorated, with wooden beams, traditional-style furniture and welcoming splashes of colour. Upstairs, with X box and TV, makes a great teenage hangout or a quiet place to enjoy a coffee or late-night tipple. The traditional kitchen has an electric oven and induction hob along with an AGA range cooker (AGA use, additional extra), lots of storage space and a breakfast table for easy social dining and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. In the barn, you'll also find a lounge/diner, just as cosy, with a wood burner (logs included). The barn kitchen is beautifully designed with a butler's sink and electric oven and induction hob. There are three bedrooms in the farmhouse, 2 king-size and 1 double, and an impressive bathroom with a roll-top bath. The barn has two king-size bedrooms and another fabulous bathroom with a roll-top bath.
