A magnificent traditional Cornish farmhouse located in a beautiful hamlet in glorious rolling countryside. Refurbished in 2016 this is a fabulous place to stay when exploring Cornwall’s many delights.

The property lies nestled in the Cornish countryside and is a short drive from Port Isaac, the picturesque town famed for the TV series Doc Martin. The lovely town of Padstow is nearby, a great place for restaurants and home to the popular Christmas Festival. Other local attractions include the surfing paradise of Polzeath, the delightful shopping town Wadebridge, the cathedral city Truro, numerous National Trust properties, Bodmin Steam Railway, go-karting, The Eden Project and many fabulous local beaches like Bedruthan Steps and Watergate Bay. This is an ideal spot for walkers and cyclists on the Camel Trail. The nearest village is the aptly named Blisland, complete with traditional inn to help you round the day off or to explore Saints way.  See if you can see the scenes that were filmed for the famous Poldark locally as I'm sure you will recognise many.   For those wanting to sample some of the finer restaurants then it's only a short drive away to Nathan Outlaws (Port Isaac), Emily Scott (St Tudy Inn) and Rick Steins (Padstow). 

You can relax in front of the splendid open fire with its stone surround which is the main feature of the elegant and comfy lounge. Or you might prefer the cosy snug, which also boasts a traditional open fire. Both rooms have Smart TVs and DVDs so you can snuggle in the snug and watch a movie. The snug also has an Xbox 360 and a great assortment of games. The bright and airy kitchen/diner is superbly fitted out with both a Stanley range oven and an electric induction range oven and hob, as well as microwave, fridge and dishwasher. In the utility room you will find the fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. You will also find a wet room style shower room on the ground floor, complete with an original feature water trough as well as shower and WC. Heading upstairs you will find five stylish and spacious bedrooms. There are three doubles, one twin and one single room (which can be made into a double on request at time of booking).

Heading outside you will find a large private garden with lawn to the front of the property. Round the back is a shared garden with children’s playhouse and sandpit, as well as a private patio area with seating and BBQ. Off-road parking is available by the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

My family and I had a lovely holiday staying at the farm house. It was within a 30-40 minute drive to most attractions/towns which we wanted to visit. We took our Labrador with us and he had such a good time exploring everywhere as well! There were twelve of us staying in the cottage. Six adults and six children age range twelve to two years old. I would like to thank the owners for letting us decend on their farm house. The owners couldn't do enough for us they were friendly and just fabulous. Plenty of room for us all and everything we needed and more. The garden space for the chRead moreildren to run around was great and equipped with Wendy house. trampoline and a sandpit. The weather could of been better but we found plenty to do. Hide

Really lovely and cosy cottage, especially when we got the real log fires going. Great for a big family. A little rural, along narrow country roads, time of year meant very muddy for walks, but would be some good walks in the summer across farmers fields. Have to drive to get to any shops. Good location to get to Newquay, Perranporth, watergate bayRead more and other beauty spots. Hide

would highly recommend this gorgeous, cosy cottage. it has everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. beautiful surroundings with lovely places to visit in all directions which make this the perfect base to enjoy and relax.
