A beautiful cottage in glorious Cornish surroundings, full of charm and character, and the perfect base from which to explore the southern reaches of Cornwall.

This delightful property is just two miles from Looe, a popular historic port famous for its fishing tradition. Little-changed over the generations, Looe offers a mix of bistros, inns, restaurants, pubs and independent shops, or you could enjoy one of the many boat trips, which range from fishing expeditions to leisurely glass bottomed boat rides. Nearby is the picturesque Polperro, known for its colourful narrow streets. There is excellent access to the coastal paths so you can explore Cornwall’s dramatic landscapes by foot, or you could visit such local attractions as The Monkey Sanctuary, the Adrenalin Quarry, Go Karting, Porfell Wildlife Park, The Eden Project and the many National Trust Properties in the area.

On entering this gorgeous single-floor stone barn conversion you will find the spacious and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. As well as a TV and DVD, the cosy and comfy lounge is equipped with a Bluetooth stereo so you can snuggle up in front of the electric fire listening to your favourite music. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The traditional-style dining area is ideal whether you’re grabbing a quick snack or sitting down to a big meal. Two spacious and bright bedrooms, both with TVs, are offered within the accommodation. The lovely twin bedroom is on the ground floor and opens out onto the patio area. Two steps down from the lounge is the bedroom with king-size bed, which enjoys an en-suite bathroom and WC. The wet room with shower and WC is adjacent to the twin bedroom.

Heading outside, you can enjoy a lazy afternoon in the patio area, where seating has also been provided. There is also a large shared garden with sea views. Plenty of off-road parking is available.

There are 6 holiday cottages here, all different and well-spaced out. The Lodge is a good size for 4 (we were 2) and the only one detached from any other buildings. Kate the owner is very welcoming and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Even in mid-November the cottage was warm and cosy. It is just a 30-40 min walk to Looe via narrow lanes and thRead moree coast path at Millendreath. Definitely in the top 10% of cottages we have rented, and we have rented a lot. Hide

Beautiful cottage with everything there for a wonderful family holiday. The cottage perfectly met the needs of all our family - whose ages ranged from 7 to 82. It was especially suited to the less able being all on one level and having a dedicated and adapted shower room.

A spacious well equipped and private cottage with plenty of off road parking. Nice outdoor seating area, short taxi ride from Looe giving access to local shops, public transport and a good selection of pubs and restaurants.

Our cottage was so comfortable and very well equipped, we picked it specially for the wet room which was very accessible for my father who is not very mobile. Will definatly book again.
