A delightful converted barn with stunning waterway views, offering a paradise for nature lovers.

On a small complex of converted barns, this property is approached via a lane that leads to the foreshore of the idyllic Cleddau estuary with a slipway for boating enthusiasts. Spot the wide variety of birds and coastal wildlife, or walk the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path that runs over common ground nearby. Pembroke with its Norman castle is also close, and it has a good range of shops and tea rooms. For beach lovers, visit one of the many sandy beaches that are within a 15 minute drive, such as West Angle Bay, Broad Haven South and Freshwater East, or head to the seaside resorts of Tenby or Saundersfoot.

The barn is arranged over two floors, with traditional stone external stairs. On the ground floor are the four bedrooms: two doubles - one with an en-suite with a shower over the bath and WC - and two twins. There are also two further shower rooms with showers and WCs. On the first floor, the lounge makes the most of the breath-taking views. Take it all in in front of the electric fire, or unwind in front of the TV or DVD. The spacious kitchen/diner is also on the first floor, and comes fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a large dining table where the whole family or group can enjoy an evening meal.

Heading outside you’ll find a rear enclosed private patio, while at the front of the property there’s a shared open lawn that overlooks the water. There’s also ample parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

An excellent clean, family friendly cottage. Everything you need for a great break. Easy drive to Pembroke but you will need to drive to get to pubs and shops.

I have already recommended these cottages to another dog owner. We went on holiday with 6 adults, a 5yr old, a 17 month old and 4 dogs. It was an ideal location and Oak Barn was lovely. The steps are steep up to the front door but both my grandchildren and myself managed them quite easily as they had adequate hand rails. There were plenty of platesRead more, cups etc. We had a great 4 day stay. Hide

A lovely barn conversation complex in a tucked away location, overlooking the estuary. Steep stone outside steps on the side of property leading to the great sized kitchen and smaller lounge area, then downstairs to the bedrooms, these however had no wardrobes only shelves and hanging rails, not a problem once we'd got our heads round it, cases andRead more bags tucked away under the beds. In all lovely cottage but only if your mobility is good with stairs. Hide

It was ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday, but you do need a car to get to any of the towns/villages in the area. Having said that, there are plenty of places to visit. One of four converted farm buildings with views over fields and estuary. Several walks from the doorstep that are well worth exploring. The cottage was immaculately clean - no hint of doggy smells. Large and airy kitchen - lots of crockery but limited casserole dishes. Access a problem. Not suitable for the very old or very young. Steep stone stepsRead more and low level windows on first floor. Limited storage in bedrooms, two rooms are quite small. Would suit family of 4-6. Still lovely! Hide
