Situated in Healaugh in the heart of Swaledale, this idyllic lovingly converted barn boasts many original features such as exposed stonework and beams with stunning views over Harkerside. The location provides a relaxing countryside escape.

Healaugh is a delightful hamlet just 1 mile west of the capital of Swaledale, Reeth which includes shops, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and popular weekly market. 10 miles to the east is the market town of Richmond, The property is situated right on the coast to coast route and has featured in 2014 Tour de France route which makes it popular with walking and cycling enthusiasts. Stepping stones allow you to cross the river Swale and the river beach is nearby. Walking, fishing, cycling, shooting and canoeing are all available nearby.

On opening the gate of the property and seeing the rose covered barn with its magnificent views over Harkerside Moor  you immediately have a sense of calm relaxation. The barn is set in a beautiful garden with stunning scenery of the Yorkshire dales National Park in every direction. You enter the traditional stone barn from the first floor where you can find a mezzanine lounge and the first bedroom, which is a cosy twin bedroom. Heading down the stairs to the ground floor, you can find the characterful sitting room with exposed beams, an imposing Inglenook fireplace with warming multi-fuel burner, comfy seating and TV/DVD. The kitchen offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Once you have prepared your evening meal, enjoy dining with your guests in the adjacent dining room. The ground floor is home to a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The main bathroom is also located on the ground floor and is equipped with a bath and WC.

Outside there is an enclosed four-tiered south facing garden with fruit trees and ample outside seating, picnic bench and sun loungers, perfect for Alfresco dining those lazy summer afternoons. For cycling enthusiasts, there is cycle storage available. Free public off-road parking available.

Nice property in an excellent location for exploring the Dales. Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely private garden with good views of the moors. No problems parking. Reeth (for shops, pubs, etc) is a 5 minute drive or a 25 minute walk along the river.

Beautiful cottage location set in a small hamlet with pretty tiered garden with plenty of seating The cottage is on 2 levels , this could be difficult for elderly guests or disabled as the twin bedroom has no en suite and the bathroom is down a flight of stairs But overall a beautiful place to have a holiday Parking not next to the cottage , howeveRead morer very near and convenient The cottage Hide

A comfortable and clean property which is a barn conversion with a great deal of character. It is well equipped . There is a beautiful terraced garden full of beautiful and perfumed roses. Mobile phone signal is dependent on provider which from our experience was fine on O2 but non existent with Vodafone however there is a telephone kiosk beside thRead moree property and there is also WiFi available. Parking is close by but is not reserved so is not always available although we had no problem. Hide
