A perfectly situated cottage on the edge of Hope. A quick 15 minute walk and we were in Hope itself. Easy access to the train station and Edale, a walk from the cottage to Lose Hill, Shatton and Winhill to start walks in many areas of the dark Peaks. If you are after a walking break with access to a small town a couple of great pubs and a cracking Read morecurry house (The Curry Cabin), but want to wake up to bird song rather than traffic, Alice Cottage is the place to book. Highly recommended Hide

We stayed in Deepdale Cottage after some last minute complications with our original booking. It is fantastic, large, bright and airy, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The owners certainly cater for everything. The cottage has masses of character, being an old farm building, with exposed beams and a real farmhouse feeling. Lovely cottage in the heart of the Peak District. Perfect as a base for walking. Quiet, rural location but only a short walk into Hope for amenities. Very comfortable and warm, much appreciated after some cold, wet walks in February. Already planning to return in the spring/summer. Very helpful owners.

We found this cottage perfect for our needs - comfortable for lounging after a long day's walking; warm and comfy beds; plenty of room for a party of mostly full-grown people. Nice big bathroom with a good shower. A good location for short walks and a pleasant 20 minute walk to the village for shops/pub (a bit longer uphill on the way back!)
