A charming cottage located on the edge of the city of Sheffield, offering a great mix of city and countryside attractions. Exposed beams and log burner give this property a real sense of character.

Located on the south-western fringe of the bustling city of Sheffield, guests are offered the choice of open countryside or city culture. The urban vibrancy of Sheffield is close by, or for those seeking a rural escape, step out onto open countryside or visit the nearby parklands of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. For walkers, the spectacular scenery of the Dark Peak is nearby, or for something a little more strenuous, Edale at the start of the Pennine Way is easily accessible.

The beautiful beamed ceilings and wooden floor of the entrance hall and dining room of the cottage, give the property a real sense of character. The lounge with its log burner and stone surround provides a wonderful space for relaxing, while the kitchen has all the necessities complete with wooden floors and exposed beams.

As guests head upstairs the half window of the landing reveals breathtaking views across the surrounding landscape. Upstairs, the main bedroom with a double bed offers views to the front and rear of the property. The en-suite bathroom consists of a bath, shower, hand basin and toilet. The second bedroom can be reached via an alternative staircase from the kitchen and has a double bed and en-suite shower room.

Outside there is a garden with a private patio area to the front of the cottage, providing a wonderful setting for relaxing and taking in the surrounds.

This is our fourth visit and we love it more each time. Weve been in different seasons and each one has been a lovely time to visit. Had a wonderful stay in a lovely clean well equipped cottage. Parking OK if you reverse up the drive. Great location with Pub 5 mins walk away. Would definitely stay again.

Really nice cottage, modern inside. Not for tall people, one of my party hit their head regularly and they are 57. The parking was tricky but fine when you got the hang of it. The location is rural, quiet and lovely , a short walk to the national park. Easy access to chatsworth, heights of Abraham. The owner was very helpful and friendly.

A luxurious cottage, within easy reach of excellent walks by car, bus or train. A kind welcome from our host. And a great gastro-pub, the Cricket Inn, just down the lane.

The cottage is lovely and well looked after. There was nothing we felt we needed extra. The location is amazing. Easy to reach the city and the Peak District by car. 3 minutes walk out the gate one way is beautiful countryside and the other is a great pub/restaurant.

Cottage is delightful, very comfortable and well equipped. This was our third visit and love it more each time. The newly renovated outside space is fabulous and the outdoor seating and dining area really adds to the overall quality of the experience.

We had a truly wonderful time during our stay in late December. The cottage is full of character, very cosy, peaceful and relaxing. Cottage was well equipped, plenty of hot water and lovely beds.
