Situated in the grounds of the owner’s property, the cottage is a romantic idyll of calm and tranquillity in the outstanding beauty of the Peak District. The cottage is a short drive from the pretty village of Castelton, and nearby groceries are available at Chapel en le Frith which is just two miles away. The challenging walking trails of the Pennine Way await for keen walkers, or for those who prefer a more relaxing stay, sit and enjoy the wildlife that surrounds the cottage. The historical spa town of Buxton is nearby and great for an evening of culture at the opera house or strolling along the Georgian Crescent.
The bedroom, located on the ground floor of the cottage is full of character from the stone floors and oak beam ceilings. The bedroom contains a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet. Steps lead into the bright, open plan living space. The kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials that guests require during their stay. The lounge area has a wood burning stove which provides an inviting ambience to the space and a vaulted ceiling gives height and charm. A large glazed panel door leads out to the patio with garden furniture. The seating area enjoys afternoon and evening sunshine, making it an ideal space for sitting out and listening to the evening chorus of the surrounding wildlife.
Guests are welcome to wander over to the paddocks where the owners’ horses and alpacas graze. If you’re travelling in a larger party, why not book all four cottages at this location to accommodate 16 people in total.
