A delightful barn nestled in the rugged landscape of the White Peak, in a location ideal for fishing. Exposed beams and stone flagged floors create a wonderful sense of character throughout this converted barn.

Situated in the very heart of the Peak District National Park, the property is a great choice for those looking to explore this beautiful countryside on foot or bicycle. Guests can cycle the disused railway line from Parsley Hay down to the pretty market town of Ashbourne. For those looking for something more relaxing, enjoy some fishing on the River Dove, or why not take a stroll along the river banks.

The open-plan living space of this delightful barn consists of a well equipped kitchen-dining area. The cosy lounge with exposed beams in the high ceilings is bright and airy, the perfect place for relaxing after a day spent outdoors.

Up a couple of steps and guests will find themselves in the spacious king-size bedroom with an en-suite consisting of a bath with shower-over, hand basin and toilet. A door from the bedroom leads out onto a patio area with breathtaking views over the undulating hills.

This cottage is one of three properties in this location. Booked together, the properties can sleep up to 20 people. Crown Tor (sleeps six) and Pilsbury Grange (sleeps 12).

  • Electric oven and hob, microwave, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
  • Trout fishing by arrangement on river Dove
  • Regret no pets

Wonderful week spent here, we will be back. The accommodation was exactly as we'd anticipated, spotlessly clean on arrival, lovely and warm and cosy inside, stunning views from the patio, lovely owners. Fabulous location as promised, surrounding grounds very well maintained, excellent wifi.

Paul and myself had a perfect stay at Dairy Croft. The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable with everything we needed. The location is exceptional. I grew up in Sheffield and have spent a lot of time in Derbyshire, but I didnt know about this little gem!

The cottage was very clean and well equipped, perfect for my stay. I wanted to in the middle of nowhere and with the most idyllic view - it most definitely ticked both boxes. The view was stunning and although it felt remote, it actually is close to civilisation if you need it. A little gem - will definitely be back.

The cottage is set in a beautiful, quiet location. However this does not make up for the fact that the interior is looking dated and tired.

Dairy Croft is very cosy for 2 people; the pine furniture is in keeping with the charm of the cottage/converted barn. It's location, although down a single track road, makes it ideal for a peaceful, relaxing holiday, particularly if you like walking. You wouldn't necessarily have to use your car. Didn't feel access to the property was a problem as Read moreyou get used to going up and down the lane. View across to the hill opposite is lovely. In a good area for visiting surrounding villages/towns. Hide

This really is the place if you want to be away from it all. The location is a little tricky to find but it's a great cottage! It had everything I needed for my week away from the rat-race.
