Property code: PK663

One of three properties located in a delightful position in the Dove Valley. Nearby fishing and cycling make this property an ideal choice for those wanting to spend time in the great outdoors.

Situated on the upper reaches of the beautiful Dove Valley, this is a pretty stone barn nestled in a rural hamlet. Guests who enjoy fishing can head to the nearby River Dove where excellent trout fishing is available by prior arrangement. For keen cyclists, the trails of Tissington and Manifold are close by, along with bicycle hire and electric bikes to make light work of the undulating hills.

Guests enter the stone barn into the kitchen-diner, equipped with all the necessities guests require. Large glazed doors make this room bright and airy, and lead out onto a pretty patio that’s perfect for whiling away an afternoon. On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with a shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet-ideal for kicking off muddy boots. A separate cosy lounge is made for curling up and watching a DVD after a day spent outdoors

Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, two with king size beds and one bedroom containing two single beds. From the windows of the bedrooms, guests can enjoy delightful views of the surrounding landscape, and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in this rural idyll. Upstairs there is also a family bathroom with a bath, shower, hand basin and toilet.

Lovely converted barn in a fairly secluded spot. Pleasant owners happy to provide useful information. Facilities were basic but adequate.

This cottage is perfect if you want to be away from it all with walks around the Dove Valley right from the door. Very quiet. The internet was strong, but little phone signal unless you are with O2 - which I am and had occasional reception indoors with very good reception outside. Beds were comfortable and bathroom facilities up to date. It was beaRead moreutifully warm throughout the cottage with a very effective central heating system for chilly weather. Track to the cottage might be tricky if icy. Hide

Lovely position looking across beautiful valley. With two bathrooms, including showers in each, plenty of room for four if not more. Excellent walking country all around. Super holiday, as long as the weather holds!

Such an amazing treat to stay here. The secluded spot was really nice and we even managed to see the milky way on one of the clearer nights. Our children enjoyed opening the gates on the road in. Great facilities and very spacious for 5 of us - 3 adults and 2 teens. We loved the showers (especially with my long hair)!! We found Hartington nearby anRead mored that was great for the local shops and a fab tea room! Hide

This cottage is in a wonderful part of the Peak District with wonderful views and walks from the doorstep. However it did have a tired feel and was in need of some tlc. The patio area is right next to the drive, and there is no other outside area for this property which is not ideal if you have small children or a dog!
